PREPARING FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD

Preparing For the Coming of the Jesus Christ in the Rapture

Unless people have knowledge of the Endtimes, and are prepared for Jesus’ Coming, they will be LEFT BEHIND in the Antichrist system that is now subtly engulfing the whole world. Unless the pastors and leaders prepare their people for His coming, many will be LEFT BEHIND, including themselves. Hos4:6 states My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..’. God is calling a holy and pure people Tit2:13,14, Ep1:4 to take them alive with Him to heaven in the Rapture 1Th4:17. We need to be Rapture Ready in order to ESCAPE God’s wrath coming upon the earth in the Great Tribulation 1Th1:10. Like the people in Noah’s days who perished or the 5 foolish virgins Mt25:11, many will not be READY, but will be LEFT BEHIND to suffer, die, or be martyred. They will not be ready for the Lord’s coming and ESCAPE, for the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience Co3:6.

One can only prepare for the Day of the Rapture, but never for the Great Tribulation! Jesus repeatedly warned us to WATCH, PRAY, BE READY, BE PURE, BE HOLY, TO LOOK FOR HIS RETURN in order to ESCAPE the things which shall come to past in the Endtimes Lk21:36! If one does not believe in, or is not ready for the Rapture and is LEFT BEHIND, it would be impossible for him to prepare for the atrocities that will occur during the Great Tribulation- a most terrible, terrifying, miserable, hopeless, painful, and grievous 42 months period of living hell on earth Re13:5,7!

Jesus said ‘..except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved..’ Mt24:22. This means if the Great Tribulation were to continue much longer, everyone would either die or be killed! There will be wars throughout the world, great nuclear explosions, great natural disasters, famine, droughts, pestilence, and plagues wiping out millions upon millions of people! Everyone would be helpless while living through it. If one does not have the faith to believe the words of Jesus, ‘..I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also’ Jn14:3, then there is no other ESCAPE for him, but to be LEFT BEHIND to suffer in the Great Tribulation.

Signs of  the Endtimes

What does the Bible say about the Endtimes? Referring tothe end of the world’, Jesus said ‘..he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved’ Mt24:13. What must we endure to be saved, and to be saved from what? Jesus also said ‘..when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth Lk18:8. The Bible foretold of many signs of the Endtimes before Jesus’ return to earth. They are found throughout the Bible, especially in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and in the book of Revelation. Some signs are;

  • Israel’s rebirth as a nation in 1948 will culminate in the final great war of Armageddon Is66:8, Re16:16, Zec14:2,
  • The worldwide preaching of the Gospel of the kingdom to all nations Mt24:14, Mk16:15,
  • Great earthquakes in divers places; famines, and pestilences; fearful sights and great signs from heaven Lk21:11,
  • Increasing immorality, corruption, and violence 2Ti3:1-4, 2Pe2:6,
  • Many false prophets and false Christs deceiving many believers Mt24:4,5,11,24,
  • Great apostasy in the churches 2Ti3:5, and a Great falling away of believers 2Th2:2-12,
  • Wars and rumours of war Mt24:6, Mk13:7,
  • Distress of nations with perplexity Lk21:25, and Worldwide economic collapse Re18:9-11
  • Rise of the Antichrist in a New World Order- a One World Gov’t, Religious, Social, Economic, Monetary System Re13:1-18.
  • Great Tribulation such as the world has never known before Mt24:21.

The total fulfillment of all these signs represent ‘the end of the world described by Jesus to his disciples Mt24:3. Jesus said ‘Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man’ Lk21:36. He said we must endure till the end to be to be saved from the terrible things that are coming upon the earth Mt24:13,21. To be Rapture Ready to ESCAPE, requires believing that we are nearing the End, knowing what God is doing and what is happening today, and preparing for the Lord’s coming.

A Worldwide Monetary Collapse; the Death of the US$

Today we live in a global economy such as what happens in America and other major countries may affect the rest of the world. The whole world is built upon a mountain of debt ready to collapse. For example, the present debt crisis in the Eurozone countries is a very dangerous problem that can topple the world. Over the past 5 years, China has increased her national debt tremendously. Japan’s debt is over 2.5 times her annual GDP. However, America is in the worst debt situation per capita than all these countries. In 2004, our national debt was $7 trillion. Today, it is nearly $20 trillion, equivalent to over $60,000 for every man, woman and child. Our leaders are reluctant and powerless to address and reduce the national debt, and we are heading for another major debt crisis in early Feb 2014. America’s only recourse is for the US Federal Reserve Bank to continue quantitative easing, to print more money out of thin air, till the US$ becomes worthless and collapses.

When the US$ collapses, all nations will suffer along with America, because the US$ is the world’s reserve currency, used and held by every country. The demise of the US$ due to excessive US indebtedness will destroy the present world’s economic system. An economic collapse due to bank failures, terrorism, war, famine, national calamities and disasters will bring America and the rest of the world to ‘their knees’ worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s. Jesus spoke of a time when ‘Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth..’ Lk21:26. Many heart attacks will occur when the financial market crashes. So how should we prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ? How can we be prepared, and what must we do to be saved?

How To Prepare for Jesus’ Coming At the Rapture

  • Watching and Praying to Be Accounted Worthy to Escape the Coming World Crises Lk21:36.
  • Be Filled With the Holy Spirit Ep3:18b; Be Led by the Spirit of God Ro8:14; Be Sealed With the Holy Spirit of God Ep4:30.
  • Study and Live by Every Word 2Ti2:15, 2Ti3:16, Mt4:4; Abide in Jesus Jn15:5,7.
  • Be Pure and Holy Mt5:8, Heb12:14, Tit2:13,14, 1Jn3:3; Love God and Not the World 1Jn2:15; Must Forgive Others Mk11:26.
  • Seek God’s Kingdom First and His Righteousness Mt6:33
  • Preach the Gospel Mk16:15; Please God by Doing His Will Mt6:9,10, Mt7:21, Mt12:50.
  • The 3 R’s in the book of Ezekiel- REPENT, RETURN, and REMAIN With the Lord – Ez3:17-21

Watching and Praying For the Rapture

Jesus said to watch for the signs of His return, and to pray to escape the bad things that He prophesied would come to pass. He said ‘..nation shall rise against nation.. there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places’ Mt24:6; ‘.. there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.. when these things BEGIN TO COME TO PASS, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your REDEMPTION draweth nigh’ Lk21:25,28.

Today, there are many reports of strange signs in the heavens- comets, fireballs, and meteorites, UFOs, and on earth- sinkholes, water turning red, massive bird and sea-life kills, new volcanoes erupting, strong earthquakes, and superstorms and typhoons. Jesus instructed us to PRAY  Our Father..thy kingdom come..lead us not into temptation, but Deliver Us From Evil Mt6:11, and ‘..PRAY ALWAYS, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that SHALL COME TO PASS, and to stand before the Son of man Lk21:36. The Rapture is our only ESCAPE  from the coming Great Tribulation!

Be Filled, Led, and SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE

We need the Holy Spirit working in our lives to prepare us for the Rapture. Jesus said ‘.. but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence’ Ac1:5. The Holy Spirit is given to teach us all things Jn14:26, guide us into all truth, to show us things to come Jn16:13,14, Ro8:14. Paul wroteBut if the Spirit of (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you Ro8:11. Paul said ‘Ye were SEALED with that Holy Spirit of PROMISE Ep1:13, andgrieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the Day of REDEMPTION Ep4:30. The Holy Spirit shall quicken our mortal bodies to meet Jesus in the AIR 1Th4:17, and the PROMISE is the Rapture- the Day of Our REDEMPTION!

Study and Live By Every Word of God

Paul saidStudy to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth’ 2Ti2:15. He saidAll scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works’ 2Ti3:16,17. Jesus saidMan shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God’ Mt4:4. Here we also see the importance of the Word of God for correct doctrine on how to live, and what to do. We need to STUDY the Bible and know the Word to be prepared for Jesus’ coming in the Rapture.

Be Pure and Holy; Love God and Others; Must Forgive Others

1Jn3:1-3 stateBehold, what manner of Love The Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.. when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall SEE him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him PURIFIETH himself, even as he is PURE’. Jesus saidBlessed are the PURE in heart for they shall SEE God Mt5:8. Paul wrote ‘Follow peace with all men, and HOLINESS, without which no man shall SEE the Lord’ Heb12:14. Paul saidLOOKING for that blessed hope, and the glorious APPEARING of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might REDEEM us from all iniquity, and PURIFY UNTO HIMSELF a peculiar people, zealous of good works’ Tit2:13,14.

The first and great commandment is to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, and mind, and the 2nd one is to love thy neighbor as yourself  Mt22:37,39. ButLove not the world.. If any man love the world, the love of The Father is not in him’ 1Jn2:15.  Also we need to forgive others when they trespass against us. Mk11:26 states ‘..if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses’. All these scriptures state that we need to be PURE and HOLY, Love the Lord and others, and Forgive others in order to SEE and be with Jesus in the Rapture.

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness

Jesus instructed us to ‘..seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you’ Mt6:33. We need to find our roles in life to fulfill God’s kingdom on earth, by doing His will. What does God want us to do? What is the Holy Spirit telling us to do and how is He leading us? Are we abiding in Jesus and His Word abiding in us? Are we taking up our cross, denying ourselves and following Him Mt16:24? Do we have love one for another? Jesus said ‘By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to anotherJn13:35. God promised His protection and blessings if we put His kingdom and His righteousness first. Are we bearing much fruitJesus said ‘Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples’ Jn15:7,8. Paul wroteFor the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but RIGHTEOUSNESS, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost’ Ro14:17.

Preach the Gospel and Please God by Doing His Will

In the Great Commission, Jesus told us to preach the Gospel to everyone Mt28:19,20, Mk16:15, Lk24:49, and Ac1:8. Jesus said ‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature Mk16:15. He told us also to do the Will of our Father in heaven: ‘For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own Will, but the Will of him that sent me’ Jn6:38, and ‘..as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you’ Jn20:21. When we obey God, this pleases and gives us great favor with Him. Jesus saidIf ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you’ Jn15:7 and ‘..Whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you’ Jn15:16. Jesus said no oneshall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven’ Mt7:21.

The 3 R’s in the book of EzekielREPENT, RETURN, and REMAIN With the Lord

In Ezekiel chapter 3, God’s warnings were directed to 3 groups of people- the Wicked, the Backslider, and the RIGHTEOUS, much like the 3 groups mentioned by Jesus in in his message to church of the Laodiceans, the Cold, the Lukewarm, and the Hot Christians Re3:16. God told Ezekiel if the Watchman did not warn the Wicked or the Backslider, they will die in their sins, but his blood would I require at thine hand Ez3:18,20.

In the 1st and 2nd groups, the Wicked and the Backslider, they both needed to REPENT or they would die in their sins. One big difference regarding the Backslider is that God will NOT remember any of his once righteousness, unless he REPENTS. In the 3rd group, the RIGHTEOUS shall surely live, ONLY if he remained RIGHTEOUS. The implication here is that ONLY the RIGHTEOUS who REPENTS, RETURNS, and REMAINS true to the Lord will be taken by Jesus in the Rapture. Jesus said ‘Except ye REPENT, ye shall all likewise perishLk13:3. No one will be taken in the Rapture unless he REPENTS and REMAIN RIGHTEOUS with the Lord!

Preparing For Jesus’ Coming

Much of what is written in the New Testament relates to how we should live and how to prepare for Jesus’ coming. God chose you and I to be living in this most exciting time in history when Jesus is returning soon to receive a people unto Himself, to take us in the Rapture Jn14:3. Jesus is not returning for an Apostate Church or for lukewarm and backslidden people, but ONLY for a Faithful REMNANT who have prepared themselves for His coming, like Noah and his family, and the 5 wise virgins who had sufficient oil in their lamps Mt25:4. Likewise, the PASTORS, as GOD’S WATCHMEN, must also WARN the people under them. If not, the people will indeed perish, but THEY will be held accountable to God for not warning the people to REPENT, RETURN, and REMAIN RIGHTEOUS- for the Wicked to REPENT of his sins v18, for the Backslider to RETURN to RIGHTEOUSNESS v20, and for the RIGHTEOUS to REMAIN RIGHTEOUS v21. Their blood God would require in the PASTORS’ HANDS- the shepherd of God’s flock!

Finally, though the hour for mankind is very late, there is still time to REPENT, RETURN, and REMAIN true to God, to prepare to be Rapture Ready- ‘..For the coming of the Lord draweth nigh’ Jas5:8, and ‘..ye know neither the Day nor the Hour’ Mt25:13! Just WATCH and PRAY that you may be accounted WORTHY TO ESCAPE  all the terrible and evil things that SHALL COME TO PASS, and to stand before Jesus in the Rapture Lk21:36!

THE DAY OF THE LORD

THE DAY OF THE LORD- THE END OF MAN’S RULE ON EARTH

The Bible speaks of the end of man’s rule on earth, and the coming day of the kingdom of God under the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ. One can easily see that the world we live in is literally falling apart. An excellent point is the once great America is now under great financial and economic distress, bankrupt ready to collapse. The other economic superpowers China and Japan are also facing similar problems themselves, and the Eurozone countries are not doing much better. For 6000 years since Adam, because of gross corruption and wickedness, man has proven incapable of ruling over himself and his fellowmen! Thus, the end of man’s gov’t will herald in the beginning of the God’s kingdom on earth.

To understand what will happen, we need to know what the Bible says about the coming Day of the Lord! However, whenever the Bible mentions ‘The Day’ or ‘That Day, it is often describing one of two main events in God’s calendar, so we need to distinguish which one is which. It could be referring to the Day of the Rapture of the Saints– the Secret Coming of Jesus Christ or the Day of God’s Wrath– the Public Coming of Jesus Christ. Proper understanding of What’s In a Day? in God’s timetable will guide us on how to live, and how to be prepared for that Day! If not, many will be LEFT BEHIND to face the coming dire Great Tribulation, and even death!

THE DAY OF THE LORD!  WHAT’S IN A DAY?

The term ‘Day of the LORD’ is found 29 times in the Bible. It often refers to the Great Tribulation in the Endtimes prior to the return of Jesus Christ. It is described as the Day of God’s Destruction and Wrath Job21:30. It is the Day of the LORD’s Fierce Anger Is13:13, and Vengeance Is34:8. It is a Day of Darkness Am5:20;the Great and Terrible Day of the LORDJoe2:31.That Day is a Day of Wrath, a Day of Trouble and Distress, a Day of Wasteness and Desolation, a Day of Darkness and Gloominess, a Day of Clouds and Thick DarknessZeph1:15.  However, the Day of the LORD is also used to describe the Day of the Rapture 1Th4:16,17, the Day of Escape and Salvation Heb2:3, the Day of Redemption Ep4:30, the Day of our Reward Lk6:23, Re22:12, and the Day of Our Lord Jesus Christ 1Co1:18, ‘the Perfect Day’ Pr4:18.

THE RAPTURE DESCRIBES A FORTHCOMING BIBLICAL EVENT

The word Rapture is Not Found in the Bible, but is used to describe a forthcoming significant event. Like the Rapture, there are many other terms that are not found in the Bible such as Trinity, Sunday School, spiritual warfare, denominations, seminary, and even the word Bible, but are accepted and understood. The word Rapture is commonly used to describe an ESCAPE from the coming Great Tribulation Lk21:36, Heb2:3, Mt24:21. Rapture comes from the Latin wordRapiemur’, which means ‘to be snatched up’, ‘to be raised up’, ‘to be taken up’, ‘to be seized, ‘to be CAUGHT UP in the AIR’, ‘to be translated into HEAVEN such as Enoch, Elijah, and Jesus were in time past! Paul said ‘By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was NOT FOUND, because God had translated him..’ Heb11:5. God took Enoch Ge5:24, Elijah 2Ki2:1,and Jesus Ac1:10, alive into HEAVEN as examples of the forthcoming Rapture that will happen in the endtimes!

Before Jesus was crucified, He told His disciples ‘Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions.. I go to prepare a place for you.. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be alsoJn14:1-3. Jesus promised to take us to where He is, to HEAVEN, in the Rapture. Paul saidFor the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then WE which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall WE ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words1Th4:16-18. Sadly, there are many who don’t comfort others with these words, don’t warn of the Lord’s soon coming, and don’t believe in, but speak against the Rapture, and often contradict the Word of God!

Jesus repeatedly warned us to ‘Watch and Pray’ so that we wouldn’t miss out on the day of His coming for us Jn14:3, the Day of Visitation 1Pe2:12. Jesus saidWatch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of manLk21:36. Watch what? Pray for what? Be worthy to ESCAPE what? What things shall come to pass? Stand before whom? Here Jesus was exhorting us to be ready for His return by being found worthy to ESCAPE the great distress of nations, with perplexity and great fear coming upon the earth Lk21:25-26. We shall then stand before Jesus, ‘which delivered us from the wrath to come’ 1Th1:10.

Jesus said ‘Watch therefore, for ye know neither the Day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh’ Mt25:13. The Day Jesus told us to ‘Watch and Pray’ for is the Day of His Appearing 2Ti4:8, 1Pe5:4, the Day of the Rapture of the Saints 1Th4:16,17, the Day of Our Reward Re22:12. It is the approaching Day of His coming for us Heb10:25. Hosea said ‘After two days will he revive us: in the 3rd Day he will raise us up, and WE shall live in his sight’ Hos6:2; the 3rd Day being 2000 years after Christ, when He will Raise us up. Pr4:18 states ‘..the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the Perfect Day’. The Day of the Rapture is the Perfect Day when WE will be glorified in Jesus 2Th1:10. John said ‘..WE know that, when he shall appear, WE shall be like Him; for WE shall see Him as he is1Jn3:2.

JESUS SECRET COMING vs JESUS PUBLIC RETURN- TWO DISTINCT COMINGS

In the New Testament, the Day of the Lord is used 5 times to refer to the return of Jesus Christ to earth. The fact that Jesus will bring either Reward Mt16:27, Re22:12, or Judgment, logically speaks of two different Comings. The Secret Coming of Jesus is when only those looking for Him and are ready, will See Him, and ‘be CAUGHT UP.. to meet the Lord in the AIR’ 1Th4:16,17. Jesus said ‘Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall See GodMt5:8. John wrote ‘..when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall See Him as He is.. every man that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is Pure1Jn3:2,3. Only the Pure in heart shall See God. Without Holiness, no man shall See the Lord Heb12:14.

The Day of Jesus Secret Coming will be the Day of ESCAPE from the Great Tribulation Lk21:36, Heb2:3. Jesus said ‘..behold, I come quickly; and my Reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall beRe22:12. David asked ‘Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a Pure Heart..’ Ps24:3,4.

The Day of Jesus Public Return will be at the end of the Great Tribulation, when Every Eye shall See Him.. and all kindred.. shall wailRe1:7. For those not looking or unprepared for Jesus return and missing ‘..the Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ’ Tit2:13, they will not be taken in the Rapture, but go through the Great Tribulation the worst period ever in mankind’s history ‘such as never was or ever will beMt24:21. It will be a terrible, horrific, painful, miserable, and most fearful time in history. Jesus said ‘..except the days should before shortened, there should no flesh shall be saved..Mt24:22.

THE DAY OF JESUS SECRET COMING– ONLY FOR THOSE LOOKING AND READY

The Day of Jesus Secret Coming will be a surprise to most people for He will come as a thief in the night 1Th5:2, secretly and swiftly. Jesus said two would be in the field and one taken; two women grinding at the mill and one taken Mt24:40,41; two in bed and one taken Lk17:34. Jesus told us ‘But of that Day and hour knoweth no man, not even the angels, but my Father onlyMt24:36.That Day is the Secret Coming of Jesus; it will be a surprise for no man knows when. What is our Hope? It is to be ‘in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His Coming’ 1Th2:19. This is called ‘the Blessed Hope’ Tit2:13.

Paul saidFor God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain Salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ1Th5:9. But we must be blameless on the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ 1Co1:8. Paul wrote God ‘..which hath begun a good work in you shall perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ Php1:6. Jesus promised to raise us up at the Last Day. Jesus said ‘..every one which Seeth the Son, and believeth on him.. I will Raise him up at the Last Day Jn6:40. For those ready, the Last Day will be the Day of the Rapturethe Day of Jesus Secret Coming! Ep4:30 states ‘..grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby, we are sealed unto the Day of Redemption. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of Jesus Secret Coming. It is the Day of Redemption!

THE DAY OF JESUS PUBLIC RETURN– EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM AND WAIL

The Bible tells of the Day of Jesus Public Returnwhen EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIMRe1:7. Jesus will then returnafter the tribulation of those days.. with power and great glory’ Mt24:29,30. Jesus shall ‘..gather His Elect together from the four winds, from one end of HEAVEN to the otherv31. Notice here that His Elect shall be gathered together from HEAVEN. They were already raptured to HEAVEN, and will be returning with Jesus to Earth. Jude 14 states ‘..Behold, the Lord cometh WITH ten thousands of his saints’.

That Day of the Lord will be the Day of the Wrath of the Lamb Re6:16,17; the Day of His Fierce Anger Is13:13. Peter said it is the Day of Judgment 2Pe3:7; the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, when the heavens and the earth will pass away with a great noise and in fervent heat 2Pe3:10. On the Day of Jesus Public Return, no one needs to watch for EVERY EYE shall see Him, and they shall mourn and wail because of Him. Jesus will come to judge all on the earth Jn5:22, Ps96:13. The Day of the Lord will be a Day of Destruction and Desolation, great and terrible; a dreadful Day Mal4:5; the Day of Vengeance of our God Is61:2,63:4. It is the Day of the LORD’s Wrath and Anger Zep1:18, 2:3. Nothing will be secret about this coming Day, for EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM and WAIL Re1:7!

THE DAY OF THE RAPTUREBREAKING OUR APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH

While the Bible states ‘.. it is appointed unto men once to die..’ Heb9:27, the Day of the Rapture will be a very special day when faithful believers will break their Appointment With Death! Ps79:11 states God has the power to ‘.. preserve thou those that are appointed to die and Ps102:20, to loose those that are appointed to death’. Jesus saidI am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever Liveth and Believeth in Me Shall Never Die. Believest thou this?Jn11:25,26. A parallel scripture, 1Th4:16-18 state ‘For the Lord himself shall descend from HEAVEN with a shout.. and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then WE which are ALIVE and REMAIN shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Clearly we see that Jesus will come down from HEAVEN to take those living, along with the dead ‘in Christ’, up to HEAVEN.

In Jn11:26, Jesus asked do we really believe this, and in 1Th4:18, Paul said we need to encourage one another with the words that Jesus is coming for us in the Rapture. Paul said that ‘..God hath not Appointed us to wrath, but to obtain Salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ’ 1Th5:9Paul states that we have an Appointment with Jesus, not to die, but be taken alive to HEAVEN. The apostle John said if we have this hope in Jesus to be like Him, we must purify ourselves, even as He is pure 1Jn3:3. Thus, we have a Divine Appointment with Jesus on the Day of the Raptureto meet Him in the AIR; never to die, but to be with Him forever! Faith is all about believing what God said He will do! NO FAITH, NO RAPTURE!

THE DAY OF OUR CHANGE, THE DAY OF REDEMPTION

Both King David and righteous Job referred to a Day of being CHANGED, that is to have a Glorified Body like Jesus. David looked forward to being crowned with glory and honour Ps8:3.He saidAs for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy LIKENESSPs17:15. Likewise, Job also alluded to becoming like Jesus. He said ‘If a man die, shall he live again? all the Days of my Appointed time will I wait, till my CHANGE comeJob14:14. The apostle Paul said wehave the firstfruits of the Spirit.. waiting for the adoption, to wit, the Redemption of Our Body Ro8:26. Jesus said ‘And when these things Begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your Redemption draweth nighLk21:28. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of the Redemption of Our Body!

The Day of Redemption relates to the Day of Our Bodily Change, when our bodies will be redeemed fully from corruption into immortality. Paul wroteBehold, I shew you a Mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be CHANGED, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump.. the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be CHANGED. For this Corruptible must put on Incorruption, and this Mortal must put on Immortality.. then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?’ 1Co15:51-55.  Paul said ‘..by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men..’Ro8:12; but alsoThe last enemy that shall be destroyed is death1Co15:26. On the Day of the Rapture, we will receive an Incorruptible, Immortal, and Glorified body just like Jesus Christ. We will BE CHANGED ‘to be conformed into His Image’ Ro8:29!

THE DAY OF THE LORD- THE DAY OF THE RAPTURE vs THE DAY OF GOD’S WRATH

In summary, when speaking of the Day of the Lord, the Bible speaks of two significant, but contrasting events in the Endtimes. The first event is the Day of the Rapture, and the other event is the Day of God’s Wrath. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Day of our Divine Appointment with God- our Escape, our Adoption, our Redemption, our Resurrection, our Reward, our CHANGE, our Immortality, and our Glorification. The Day of Judgment is the Day of God’s Wrath, God’s Vengeance, the Day of His Fierce Anger, the Day of Destruction, the Day of Darkness, the Great and Terrible Day of the LORD.

One can only prepare for the Day of the Rapture, but never for the Day of God’s Wrath and the Great Tribulation! Jesus repeatedly warned us to Watch, Pray, Be Ready, Be Pure, Be Holy, to Look for His return, in order to Escape the things which shall come to past in the Endtimes! If one does not believe in, or is not ready for the Rapture but is LEFT BEHIND, he will never be able to prepare for the atrocity that will occur during the Great Tribulation, a most terrible, horrendous, miserable, hopeless, painful, and grievous 42 months period of hell on earth Re13:5,7! Jesus said ‘..except those days be shortened, there should NO FLESH be saved..’ Mt24:22. This means if it were to continue, literally everyone would either die or be killed! There will be wars throughout the world, thermonuclear explosions, great natural disasters, famine, droughts, pestilence, and disease wiping out millions upon millions of people! Everyone would be helpless while living through it. Also if one does not have the FAITH to believe the words of the Lord, ‘I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that were I am, there you may be alsoJn14:3, then for sure, there is no other ESCAPE, but to be LEFT BEHIND to suffer in the Great Tribulation!

Finally, on the Day of the Rapture- the Day of Jesus Secret Coming, Jesus is coming FOR HIS SAINTS in the AIR. On the Day of Jesus Public Return- His 2nd Coming, Jesus is coming WITH HIS SAINTS back to earth to rule and reign. Re19:14 states ‘..the armies which were in HEAVEN followed Jesus upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean’. Jude 14 tells ‘Behold, the Lord cometh WITH 10,000 of his Saints’. This is ‘What’s in a Day’. In the Holy Bible, THE DAY OF THE LORD describes Jesus coming back twice- the 1st time FOR HIS SAINTS, and the 2nd time WITH HIS SAINTS! AMEN!

The Important Endtime Role of the Holy Spirit In Our Lives

THE IMPORTANT ENDTIME ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIVES

(Note: Many words capitalized for emphasis throughout this paper.)

The Holy Spirit has a very important and distinct role in our lives in these Endtimes. It is to prepare believers for the coming Rapture, by perfecting them and conforming them to the image of Christ. God sent Jesus Christ to save us from our sins Jn3:16. Then after Jesus went back to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to complete God’s plan for mankind, and in us! Jesus said ‘My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work’ Jn4:34. Since the work of God was not yet finished on earth, Jesus came to us by filling us with His Spirit. He said  ‘I will not leave you comfortless, I WILL COME TO YOUJn14:18; ..It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the COMFORTER will not come unto you; but if I depart, I WILL SEND HIM UNTO YOU’ Jn16:7.

The Comforter is the Holy Ghost Jn14:26; the Spirit of Truth Jn15:26. As we approach the culmination of God’ s 6000-year plan for mankind since Adam, the Holy Spirit now abides and resides in all those who are filled with the Holy Spirit Jn14:16, to finish God’s work on earth. Before leaving his disciples, Jesus saidye shall be Baptized With the Holy Ghost not many days hence’ Ac1:5; And ‘..ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea.. and unto the uttermost part of the earth’ Ac1:8. After being raised from the dead, Jesuswas made a quickening Spirit 1Co15:45. Jesus said ‘..as the Father raiseth up the dead. even so the Son quickeneth whom he will Jn5:21. He said ‘..this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life.. I will raise him up at the last day’ Jn6:40. The last day is quickly coming upon us as the world and its people are entering into increasing distress and perplexity Lk21:25!

Today our world is faced with unprecedented economic, financial, and moral problems, and is on the verge of collapse. All the major currencies of the world, such as the US$, Euro €, British Pound £, and Japan Yen ¥ are in deep trouble because of enormous debt due to uncontrolled spending. Also, worldwide natural disasters such as major earthquakes, hurricanes, diseases, and pestilence are occurring in greater intensity and frequency. With a possible Middle East nuclear war looming involving the Superpowers, we are heading into the period that Jesus prophesied: ‘For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time..nor ever shall be’ Mt24:21. Thus, the Holy Spirit has a very important role in these last days to deliver us in a world that is literally falling apart before the Great Tribulation ensues!

Who Is The Holy Spirit- His Ministry and Role In a Spirit-filled Believer’s Life?

Who is the Holy Spirit? The Bible tells us thatGod is a Spirit Jn4:24, and that there is only One Spirit Ep4:4.The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the triune God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ Php1:19. The Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost are synonymous, and their names are often used interchangeably Jn7:39,Lk4:1,Ac2:4. Therefore, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Lord, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Ghost found in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, are thesame Spirit of God’ 1Cor12:4. The term Holy Spirit is found only 7 times in the entire Bible. The term Holy Ghost is used 89 times, but only in the New Testament. Other names for the Holy Spirit arethe Spirit of your Father Mt10:20; the Spirit of Truth Jn14:17,16:13; the Spirit of Holiness Ro1:4; the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus Ro8:2; the Spirit of Christ Ro8:9; the Spirit of Adoption Ro8:15; the Spirit of Promise Ep1:13; the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation’ v17; the Spirit of Grace Heb10:29; the Spirit of Glory’ 1Pe4:14, and the Spirit of Prophecy Re19:10. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter Jn14:16, and our Advocate 1Jn2:1. The Holy Spirit isthe Spirit of Power, and of Love, and of a Sound Mind 2Ti1:7. The Holy Spirit is also ‘Christ in us, the hope of glory Co1:27. Like Jesus, we also need to be ‘full of the Holy Ghost Lk4:1, and with Power’ Ac10:38. All these names of the Holy Spirit above are very important, because they describe the Holy Spirit’s ministry and role in a Spirit-filled believer’s life.

The Holy Spirit- the Power of God Within Us

The Holy Spirit is the Power of God that does the works of God. Zech4:6 statesNot by might, nor by Power, but by my Spirit..’ . Jesus said ‘..ye shall receive Power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us’ Ac1:8. God have given usthe Spirit of Power..’ 2Ti1:7. Jesus saidHe that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father’ Jn14:12. Jesus did not begin His ministry or do any miracles until after He was baptized with the Holy Ghost. He did not heal anyone or cast out devils till after His baptism in the Jordan River. Lk3:22 tells ‘..the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him’. Jesus declaredThe Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised..’ Lk4:18,19. Jesus wasanointed with the Holy Ghost and with Power..’ Ac10:38. Like Jesus, we should minister only after we have received this Power, and only when the Holy Spirit leads us Ro8:14. Jesus saidAll Power is given unto me in heaven and in earth’ Mt28:18.  Jesus gave us His Power when He baptized us with the Holy Spirit. Paul wroteAnd my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power 1Co2:4. The Holy Spirit is the Power of God in us to finish God’s work before Jesus returns to earth!

The Holy Spirit’ s Role- Our Teacher and Our Guide

Besides empowering us to witness Jesus to the world, the Holy Spirit has the unique role in changing every believer’s life to be like Jesus. Jn14:26 tellsBut the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall Teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you’. Jn16:13,14 statesHowbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will Guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he Speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall Glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you’. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit Ep5:18, it is the Spirit’s job is to teach us all things, guide us into all truth and show us of things to come. Paul prayed that God would give us the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of (Jesus Christ); ..that ye may know the hope of (God’ s) calling, and what is the riches of the Glory of God’s inheritance in the saints, and ..the exceeding greatness of (God’s) Power toward us who believe..’ Ep1:17-19.

The Holy Spirit’s Job- To Bring Forth The Sons Of God Like Jesus Christ

The Holy Spirit’s job is to also bring forth the Sons of Godto change theminto the same image from Glory to Glory 2Co3:18 like Jesus;to be conformed to the image of (Jesus)’ Ro8:29; to quicken us for the coming Rapture Ro8:11. The Holy Spirit’s job is to manifest the Sons of God to the world, to deliver them from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God’ Ro8:19,23. Jesus through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, shall ‘.. change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his Glorious Body.. according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself’ Php3:21. Then Ro8:14 defines who the Sons of God are:For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God’!

The Baptism With the Holy Ghost (BWHG)- the Power of God Given to Believers

Before ascending into heaven, Jesus commanded his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until ye be endued with Power from on high’ Lk24:49; for ‘..ye  shall be Baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence’ Ac1:4, and ‘..Ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..’v8. Ten days later on the day of Pentecost, they ‘were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance’ Ac2:4. The BWHG is the Power of God given to every believer to witness Jesus Christ. When we are spirit-filled, we become the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in us’ 1Co3:16; our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost’ 1Co6:19. The Power of God then resides in us to do His work, to bring forth deliverance and healing. Jesus said ‘.. these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover’ Mk16:17,18!

The Gift of the Holy Ghost- Praying in the Spirit

The Book of Acts of the Apostles cites 10 instances where people were Baptized With the Holy Ghost (BWHG) Ac2:4,38;4:31;8:17,18;9:17;10:38,44; 15:8;18:25,26;19:6. The Baptism empowers us to witness Jesus to the world. Like the early disciples, we should first be BWHG before serving the Lord. Jesus said to his disciples ‘.. I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be  endued with Power from on High Lk24:49. An evidence of the Holy Spirit Baptism is Praying in the Spirit’ or ‘Speaking in an unknown tongue 1Co14:4.

When Peter gave his anointed message on the day of Pentecost, the multitude was convicted in their hearts, and asked ‘what shall we do’ . Peter saidRepent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost’Ac2:38. Then 8 years later in Caesara, Cornelius and his kinsmenwere all filled with the Holy Ghost, and spoke with tongues Ac10:46. Upon returning to Jerusalem, Peter had to explain to the apostles and brethren why he went to Cornelius, a Gentile. He said ‘the Spirit bade me go’ Ac11:12, and ‘the Holy Ghost fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning v15. ‘God gave them the ‘Like Gift’, as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christv17. Clearly, we see here that the Like Giftthat Cornelius and kinsmen received was the ‘Gift of the Holy Ghost’ that Peter spoke of on the day of Pentecost. It was the same ‘Speaking with other tongues’ experience Ac2:4 that the 120 disciples received that day Ac1:15- the gift given to all those who believed on Him. Praying in the Spirit should never be denied, belittled, or mocked! It is the Gift of the Holy Ghost as mentioned in Ac2:38!

However, there are other very important evidences of the BWHG. An evidence of the Spirit Baptism is Love. Paul wrote ‘..the Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is Given unto us’ Ro5:5. The following are the categorization of the 9 Gifts of the Spirit as found in 1 Corinthians 12: the Power gifts-‘healing, miracles, and faith’; the Vocal Gifts- ‘prophecy, tongues, and interpretation’; the Intuitive Gifts- ‘words of knowledge, words of wisdom, and the discerning of spirits’.  The 9 Fruit of the Spirit are listed as Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance..’ Ga5:22,23. Paul wrote ‘For God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of Power, and of Love, and of a Sound Mind 2Ti1:7. Thus, there are other Gifts of the Spirit also, plus the Fruit of the Spirit associated with being filled with the Holy Spirit Ep5:18.

The Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit- Both Required To Perfect Us and Make Us Rapture Ready

The Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit are two very important essentials for our personal holiness and for the Rapture. Without the Word of God, we cannot be conformed to the image of Christ! Jesus saidMan shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God’ Mt4:4. In the garden of Gethsemane before his death, Jesus prayed ‘..Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth’ Jn17:17. The apostle Paul prayed that Christ wouldsanctify and cleanse (us) with the washing of water by the Word’ Ep5:26. Also, without the indwelling Holy Spirit, whose job is to teach us, guide us, give us revelations and understanding, and to change us, we cannot go unto Perfection and win the prize that Paul so desired. Paul wroteI press toward the mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be Perfect, be thus minded..’ Php3:14,15. The Rapture is the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus! Thus, the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit are two very important essentials needed to work together to help us to be perfected and to make us Rapture Ready!

God’s Great Desire- To Bring Forth Many Sons Like Jesus Christ Unto Glory

God’s great desire is to bring forth many Sons and Daughters unto Glory- to change and conform them into the image of Christ. 1Jn3:1 statesBehold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God.. when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is’. Heb2:10 statesFor it  became (God) ..in bringing many Sons unto Glory, to make (Jesus) the captain of their salvation Perfect through sufferings’. Here Perfect means to come to maturity or completion, and sons include both Sons and Daughters.

The Holy Spirit’s job is to bring forth many Sons unto Glory for God! 2Co3:18 stateswe.. are changed into the same image from Glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord’. Ro8:16-18 tell usThe Spirit  itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also Glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed in us’. Ro8:29-30 stateFor whom (God) did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that (Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom (God) did predestinate, them He also called.. also justified.. He also Glorified’.

1Co15:51-53 state Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound.. and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on Incorruption, and this mortal must put on Immortality’. The Holy Spirit will complete this work in us when Jesus returns for us in the Rapture 1Th4:17!

The Rapture- the Most Important Work of the Holy Spirit in Our Lives in the Last Day

Finally, the Rapture is the most important work of the Holy Spirit in the last day. Paul wrote ‘But if the Spirit of (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’ Ro8:11. In 1Co6:11, it statesGod hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own Power’ . At the appointed time, the Spirit of God will raise us up in the Rapture like He raised Jesus up from the dead. 2Co4:14 states ‘Knowing that (God) which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you’ .

Here again, it is emphasized that the Holy Spirit is the Power of God that indwells and works in us to change us to be conformed to the image of his Son Ro8:29, and to raise us up in the coming Rapture! Paul wanted us to know ‘..what is the hope of (God’s) calling, and what the Riches of the Glory of (God’s) Inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his Power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty Power Ep1:18,19. Paul was speaking of the Rapture! ‘Now unto (God) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us’ Ep3:20. That great Power that works in us is the Power of the Holy Spirit! The quickening Power of the Holy Spirit that works in us will take us out in the coming Rapture, when the Great Tribulation begins: For ..the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words 1Th4:16-18. AMEN!

The Coming Great Worldwide Tribulation Part II Conclusion

In The Coming Great Worldwide Tribulation Part I, it was discussed ‘What is Tribulation‘, How long is ‘the Tribulation‘, and what is the ‘Great Tribulation‘?  It was also mentioned that ‘the Tribulation will be worldwide and is synonymous with the term ‘Great Tribulation‘.  It will not be 7 years long as many believe (See Part I), but only 3½ years as revealed in the Holy Bible, particularly in the book of Revelation.

Revelation chapters 6 through 16 reveal that there will be 21 specific judgments to affect the whole world which will be the wrath of God ‘poured’ upon the earth on a sinful and rebellious people.  The judgments will include the world’s greatest war, drought, famine, persecution, storm, disaster, pestilence, epidemic, scorching, plague, and earthquake to come; all never ever experienced before in intensity and in magnitude.  It will be the most fearful and demoralizing time to be living on the earth.  Lk21:26-28 state

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Redemption mentioned here is the Rapture of the Saints, that God has provided as an escape for faithful believers, for all those that are In Christ.  This is now discussed here in Part II.

THE COMING RAPTURE of the SAINTS before the GREAT Worldwide TRIBULATION  Part II

The concepts of the coming Rapture and Great Tribulation are intimately connected, with the Rapture occurring before the Great Tribulation takes place!  The Bible bears this truth out in many places.  The word Rapture is a commonly used term to describe an escape from the coming Great Tribulation.  It comes from the Latin word ‘rapiemur’, which means to be ‘snatched up’, ‘caught up’, ‘raised up’, ‘to be seized, or to be translated into heaven such as Enoch, Elijah, and Jesus were in the past!  Paul wrote:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise firstThen we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloudsto meet the Lord in the airand so shall we ever be with the LordWherefore comfort one another with these words’ 1Th4:16-18.  Also,  ‘In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed’ 1Co15:52.

Jesus has provided an escape when He will secretly come only for those ready for Him in the Rapture.  Only faithful believers In Christ, who are watching and praying, looking for His return, obeying His Word, and readying themselves by being pure and holy, will escape the coming wrath of God in the Rapture, and not go through the Great Tribulation.  Here are some Tribulation and Rapture scriptures that substantiate this point:

Ro1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men..

1Th5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Re3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

1Th1:10 ..wait for his Son from heaven.. even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Lk21:28 ..when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads;  for your redemption draweth nigh.

Lk21:36 Watch ye.. and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Heb2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..

1Co10:13 ..God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape..

Ep1:13 ..after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your Salvation.. ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise..

Ep4:30 ..grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Jn14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

2Co6:17 ..come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

1Jn2:28 ..abide in him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1Jn3:2 ..now are we the sons of God..we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Mt16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Re22:12 ‘..behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to his works shall be.

Tit2:13 ‘..Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ..’

(In the King James Version (KJV) Bible, there are key words or phrases that are repetitive, which often help in giving revelation and deeper understanding of the scripture verses.  For example the words WRATHSALVATION, REDEMPTIONESCAPE, SEALED, RECEIVE, and REWARD are repeated in several of the scriptures above.  Likewise there are phrases such as COME TO PASS, and WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR that are also repeated.  Often times, these repeated words and phrases are related in meaning, and when searching for them, the Bible gives a clearer picture of what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to us.  Jesus said ‘Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me‘ Jn5:39.)

Here are the explanations of the scriptures above:  The Bible states that the WRATH OF GOD is against all ungodliness and unrighteousness Ro1:18.  There is a coming WRATH OF GOD upon all mankind (GREAT TRIBULATION), but not upon faithful believers 1Th5:9.  The GREAT TRIBULATION is also called the HOUR OF TEMPTATION which will try all that dwell on the earth; but we are to wait patiently for Jesus Re3:10, who shall delivered us from the WRATH to come 1Th1:10.  Jesus then said when these things begin to COME TO PASS (before the GREAT TRIBULATION), look up, lift up your heads for your REDEMPTION (the RAPTURE) draws near Lk21:28.  Jesus then said to watch and pray that we may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these thing that shall COME TO PASS (the GREAT TRIBULATION), and stand before Him (the RAPTURE) at His coming Lk21:36.

Lk21:36 and Heb2:3 both describe the RAPTURE as our great ESCAPE and great SALVATION. Ep1:13 and Ep4:30 both state that believers are ‘SEALED with the Holy Spirit of Promise (the RAPTURE)’, untoThe Day Of REDEMPTION (the RAPTURE).  The Promise of the RAPTURE was also given by Jesus when He said ‘I go to prepare a place for you.. I will come again, and RECEIVE you unto myself (the RAPTURE); that where I am, there ye may be also’ Jn14:2,3. Paul also wrote that if we separate ourselves and be holy, God will RECEIVE us (the RAPTURE) 2Co6:17.  The apostle John said to abide in Jesus; that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, we may have Confidence, and not be ASHAMED Before Him At His Coming (the RAPTURE) 1Jn2:28.  This verse also suggests that some people will be ASHAMED before Him at His Coming; they were NOT READY!  Also WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR (the RAPTURE), we shall be like Jesus for we shall see Him as He is 1Jn3:2!

Finally, Jesus will REWARD us at His coming, according to our works Mt16:27, Re22:12.  Thus, the RAPTURE is our ESCAPE and our REWARD to be saved from the coming GREAT TRIBULATION!  The RAPTURE is also our REDEMPTION and SALVATION, and our BLESSED HOPE.  Paul told us to look for that BLESSED HOPE (the RAPTURE)and the GLORIOUS APPEARING of our Great God and Saviour,  the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ Tit2:13!

In conclusion, there is a GREAT TRIBULATION coming soon upon the earth as prophesied by Jesus in Mt24:21 and in the book of Revelation!  Presently, the earth is going through tremendous convulsions with nations rising against nations.  There are wars and rumors of war, great earthquakes, droughts, famines, and great natural disasters.  Add to this the great economic woes and the slowing down of the world’s economies especially in America and Europe, both in near collapse due to extreme indebtedness.  The GREAT TRIBULATION of 3½ years may be sooner than later, and perhaps right around the corner.  The recent destabilization of the Middle East and the further isolation of Israel by the United Nations in granting Palestine non-member status by a vote of 138 to 9, are also sure signs of a great war coming in the last days.

But all this is necessary, for all Bible prophecies must be fulfilled before the establishment of the millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth.  The AntiChrist will arise up during the GREAT TRIBULATION, anddestroy wonderfully’ Da8:24.  He will put the entire world under his diabolic rule in a NEW WORLD ORDER- a One World Gov’t, One World Economy, and a One World Religion.  Then the people of the world must either worship the AntiChrist as their god, or be beheaded.  Re20:4 tells ‘..I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands..’ (A word of caution- if anyone worships the Beast or his image, or accepts his mark 666 Re13:16-18, he will be doomed and tormented in fire and brimstone forever Re14:9-11).

Surely you will never read about this in the NEW YORK TIMES, but there is a coming GREAT TRIBULATION to try every living soul on the earth!  Thus, we must be watching and praying, be pure and holy, and be ready to escape in the RAPTURE!  The RAPTURE is an ELECTIVE EVENT, meaning only you can decide to be TAKEN by making yourself READY. Otherwise, you will be LEFT BEHIND; For many are called, but few are chosenMt22:14!  Paul admonished us ‘..work out your OWN SALVATION with fear and trembling’ Php2:12.     Amen!

The Coming Great Worldwide Tribulation Part I

Jesus said ‘For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be’ Mt24:21.

What is Tribulation; How Long is ‘the Tribulation’;  What is ‘the Great Tribulation’? Tribulation is a general term that describes great difficulties, afflictions, suffering, hardships, and distresses.  In this world, tribulations are quite common in many places at any given time, caused by greed, persecutions, war, droughts, famine, pestilence, and natural disasters.  There has never been a period in history without tribulation of some kind in the world. During the great World Wars I and II, tribulation was widespread, ubiquitous, consuming, and affected major parts, if not the entire world.  Countries in all major continents have experienced great tribulation during times of wars.  Thus, even the phrase ‘great tribulationis a very relative term often used only by those in the midst of their suffering. While there may be great tribulation in Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Egypt, Greece, or Spain, for the other parts of the world, things may not be so bad, or might even be good.  So the use of the word(s) tribulation or great tribulation is a relative word, and should always be viewed in the context of what really happened!  Jesus also said ‘..in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’ Jn16:33.  As long as we are in this world, we will suffer some kind of tribulation!

Superstorm Sandy– a ‘Great Tribulation’?                                                                                 The recent Superstorm Sandy that struck the great northeast corridor of America’s population was a great tribulation, but certainly not ‘the Tribulation’, or ‘the Great Tribulation’. How would those whose homes were damaged by waves or washed out to sea, burned down by natural gas fire, or blown apart by strong winds describe what happened to them in terms of the word ‘tribulation’?  Many suffered long periods without food and water, in the cold without electricity and heat, were trapped in high-rise buildings without elevator service; unable to leave or get to their homes, work or schools due to high-water, damaged roadways, shut-down public transportation, lack of gasoline, or damaged cars!  How long will it take for things to return to normal, if ever?  Who will help those with little or no money? How will the individuals, businesses, the counties or states recover their financial losses? The people living there have experienced and suffered tribulation or even great tribulation as never before.  This example is given so that we can better understand the term ‘the Tribulation’ or ‘the Great Tribulation’, as Jesus spoke of.  In Mt24:21, Jesus foretold that things in the end will get even worse worldwide.

Will the Tribulation’ Prophesied By Jesus Really Be 7 Years Long?                                     Here we will examine a specific period called ‘the Tribulation’ that many Bible students are seeking to understand in order to gauge when the Rapture will take place. While the Bible mentions the word ‘tribulation(s)’ 26 times (4 in the Old Testament, and 22 in the New Testament), the termthe Tribulationis only mentioned once (Mt24:29), and ‘that Tribulation’, only once also (Mk13:24)- both referring to the same specific period Jesus spoke of, but recorded by two Gospel writers, Matthew and Mark. The termthe Tribulationis not found anywhere in the book of Daniel, but most Bible scholars have inferred that ‘the Tribulation’ will be 7 years long from reading Da9:27, which states ‘..he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate’ (a week being 7 years).  But in this verse, the first part of this 7-year covenant appears to be a rather peaceful time than a time of tribulation.  Also does this verse really say that there will be a world-wide desolation, or just to the Jews?  Da9:24 states ‘Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city..clearly referring to the Jews and the city of Jerusalem. The peace accord will be for 7 years, but will ‘the Tribulation’ be during this entire period or just in the latter 3½ years?

In Da9:27, it is commonly accepted that the ‘he’ mentioned 3 times is the AntiChrist who will confirm a ‘peace covenant’ with the Jews for one week, (being interpreted as ‘7 years’), and in the middle of this period 3½ years will break the ‘covenant’ and destroy the Jewish people! But nowhere is the term ‘the Tribulation’ mentioned in the book of Daniel, or that the beginning of the peace treaty will begin ‘the Tribulation’!  However to be fair, Da12:7 does mention‘a time, times, and an half, basically, 3½ years; ‘a time of troublev1 for the Jewish people living in ‘the time of the endv9!  Ezekiel chapters 38/39 also speak of a great war coming to the Middle East, with armies from the North countries attacking Israel Ez38:15.  It states that God will supernaturally intervene on behalf of Israel to defeat the enemy and it would then take 7 years to burn the weapons of war Ez39:9,10.  But again, this does not mean that ‘the Tribulation’ would be 7 years long.

The Great Tribulation– the Worst Time Ever to Be Living                                                        The term Great Tribulation is mentioned only three times in the Bible, and only in the New Testament.  Jesus said ‘For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be’ Mt24:21.  In Re7:14, it states ‘.. These are they which came out of Great Tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb’. The 3rd reference, Re2:22  ‘Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds’, appears to refer to something else.  In context, both Mt24:21 and Re7:14 refer to the same Great Tribulation that will be absolutely horrible.  Here the Tribulation Saints, will be martyred and beheaded for their faith in Jesus Christ Re20:4.  In Re7:9, it describes these saints as a great multitude that came out of the Great Tribulation from all ‘.. nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues from all over the world, not just the 144,000 Jews earlier mentioned from the 12 tribes of Israel.

The Great Tribulation – When Will It Begin and How Long Will It Last?                                   When will this Great Tribulation begin and how many years will it last? The Bible does not state when it will happen, but it appears that it will be at ‘the end of the world’ Mt24:3. Jesus said ‘And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened’ Mt24:22;  the elect, meaning the Jews.  But the Bible does make reference to a time period of ‘a thousand two hundred and threescore days’ Re11:3,12:6, ‘forty and two months’ Re11:2, 13:5, and ‘a time, times, and an halfRe12:14, basically 3½ years! The Greek calendar treats a year as 360 days, so 1260 days would equal 3½ years.  While the Bible does not specifically state that the Great Tribulation will be 3½ years, the use of the above terms suggests that it will be 3½ years long, concluding with the war of Armageddon Re16:16, the return of Jesus Christ to defeat the Beast and the False Prophet Re19:20, and to establish His kingdom on earth!

In Revelation chapter 6, the Great Tribulation begins with the opening of the 7 seals.  In Re6:9-11, they state ‘And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?  And white robes were given unto every one of them;  and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled’.  Those slain for the Word of God and given white robes are very similar to those mentioned in Re7:14these are they which came out of Great Tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  However before then, faithful believers in Christ will already be ‘taken out’ in a pre-tribulation Rapture. Re4:1 states a voice said ‘Come up hither’, which signifies the Rapture!  In Re11:12, the phrase ‘Come up hither is also used, when two witnesses of God who had prophesied for 1260 days are killed, but after 3½ days, brought back to life and ‘ascended up to heaven in a cloud’.
