THE SILENT, BUT DEADLY PULPIT
This paper is written not to offend, but to inform you, especially those in pastoral ministry. The apostle Peter, who Jesus charged to take care of His sheep Jn21:17, said ‘Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind’ 1Pe5:2.
If you disagree with this paper, there is a problem here; but if you agree, then you would realize the sad state many Christian churches are now in, and their lack of readiness before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus warned ‘..Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?’ Lk18:8. Jesus also said ‘..except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven’ Mt5:20.
The prophet Isaiah said ‘His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark.. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter’ Is56:10,11. The LORD said ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..’ Hos4:6.
Being a pastor, a minister, or watchman is not an easy job, and has tremendous responsibilities and even personal consequences. As a voice of God, they must preach the right things, ‘never compromising the Word’, and to declare the heart of God. If not, they along with their members will suffer and may even perish for not knowing or disobeying God’s will which is only revealed in His Word, the Holy Bible. It contains numerous warnings for people to get ready, to repent, to believe the Gospel, to turn to and to return to God. It is the pastor’s foremost responsibility to warn the flock of any impending danger coming their way, but many are not aware of them and are not doing so.
Many pulpits in churches today are silent and negligent in preparing their members for the Endtimes. The pastors do not speak against sin, the need for repentance and holiness; the soon return of Jesus Christ, severe judgment coming upon the earth, the Rapture; the rise of the AntiChrist system, the New World Order, the Great Tribulation, the Mark of the Beast, and of the end of the world. There is a general silence behind the pulpits to warn people to be watchful and to pray always to escape the coming trials and tribulation before Jesus’ return Lk21:36.
While Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of his days warning them ‘..to discern the signs of the times’, calling them hypocrites, wicked, and adulterous (unfaithful) Mt16:1-4, this also seems descriptive of many pastors today. Our pulpits have become not only silent regarding these matters and compromised by Satan, but also very deadly to the souls of the churchgoers. This paper is about the silent, but deadly pulpit!
Watchmen On The Wall- Warnings to Pastors
Essentially, a watchman in ancient times is like a pastor or shepherd today. Both are called to watch for danger, to sound the alarm, and to protect their flock. On Nov 20, 2005 while ministering in Cubao, Manila, the Lord gave this prophecy to my wife who scripted it on a note paper. This prophecy was regarding the Rapture, the return of Jesus Christ, and the responsibility of all pastors to broadcast this message:
‘God is calling a people unto Himself who are pure and holy to embark upon the most important event they were created for. It is the ‘come up hither event’, referring to the Rapture Re11:12, 1Th4:16,17. That is the message that Jesus’ coming is imminent, and we, who are called as watchmen must sound the message loudly. Many watchmen today are sleeping and no longer attentive to their jobs. They must be aroused. Many are tired and must be charged up again. Many watchmen have left their posts and must be persuaded to return.
But alas, Many Watchmen Will Be Cast Off Because God Cannot Use Them; they have gone back into the world where sin, Satan and their flesh will consume them. The worms have already begun to eat away at them Mk9:44,46,48 and the fires of hell will destroy them. The message is to ‘wake up, look at the signs around you’; the enemy is advancing, prepare for battle and watch the salvation of the Lord..’.
In churches, the pulpit is the perch whereby pastors should sound the warning loudly of the wiles of the devil and the dangers of secular humanism. If you are a pastor, then it behooves you to obey God and do His work correctly, not to be men pleasers Ep6:6, tickling ears, but to warn them of impending dangers and of deadly consequences. The apostle Paul wrote ‘For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears’ 2Ti4:3. It is not an easy job, but if you fail, many will perish in hell and God will hold you responsible. Sadly today, apostasy is growing in many churches as people are not being duly warned.
The 3 R’s in the book of Ezekiel– Repent, Return, and Remain
God used the prophet Ezekiel to prophesy and warn the watchmen or pastors to do their jobs. The 3 R’s in the book of Ezekiel are to Repent, Return, and Remain true to the LORD. In Ezekiel chapter 3, God harsh warnings were directed to 3 groups of people- the Wicked, the Backslider, and the Righteous Ez3:17-21; similar to the 3 groups Jesus mentioned in the Laodicean church– to the Cold, the Lukewarm, and the Hot Christians Re3:16. The LORD said ‘When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; BUT HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THINE HAND’ Ez3:18; also to the Backslider v20.
In the 1st and 2nd groups, the Wicked and the Backslider, both needed to REPENT or they would die in their sins. Also to the Backslider, unless he REPENTS, God will not remember any of his past righteousness. This goes against the incorrect belief ‘once saved, always saved’. In the 3rd group, Ezekiel said the Righteous shall surely live, only if he remained Righteous. The implication here is that only the Righteous who Repents, Returns, and Remains true to the LORD will be saved. Also, only after proper warnings by the watchman, the LORD said ‘..thou hast delivered thy soul’ Ez3:21.
Here, we see the importance of repentance in our lives, and for pastors to preach the Gospel of repentance along with salvation. Pastors should not compromise God’s Word. Pastors today must warn their flock against sinning and to always Repent. If not, people will perish in hell, but their blood will be upon their hands, meaning God will hold the pastors accountable. If pastors are weak, timid, carnal, compromising, reluctant, self-serving, sinful, backslidden, or negligent to warn the people, they too will be in danger of hell fire Lk13:3,5. Jesus said ‘As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and Repent’ Re3:19.
Jesus Preached the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation
When Jesus began his ministry, his first and most important message was ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and Believe the Gospel’ Mk1:15. This message is still pertinent today. What is the Gospel? In the Bible, the Gospel means the good news of the coming kingdom of God, and of salvation. Repentance is important in order to enter into God’s kingdom. What is Repentance? It means to turn away from our sins, and to turn to God in our lives. To repent means to be sorry for our sins and to seek God’s forgiveness.
Jesus said ‘..except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish’ Lk13:3,5. Without repentance, there is no salvation. Without repentance, one cannot be ‘born again’. Jesus said ‘.. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’ and ‘Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God’ Jn3:3,5. Pastors should do likewise: preach against sin, and preach the Gospel of repentance and salvation.
Jesus warned of false prophets and pastors: ‘Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?.. then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity’ Mt7:15,21-23.
Paul’s Warnings to Pastors
The apostle Paul warned pastors regarding what they should be preaching. Paul said ‘I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.. PREACH THE WORD; be instant in season, out of season; Reprove, Rebuke, Exhort With All Longsuffering and Doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things.. do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry’ 2Ti4:1-5.
Paul spoke of a time coming when pastors would be slack in their preaching, not enduring the truth, but preaching only soft and positive things. This very thing is happening today. Church pulpits have become silent regarding sound doctrine and sin, and very deadly to the souls of its members. Paul said ‘For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation..’ 2Co7:10.
If Jesus Was Walking The Streets Today
If Jesus was walking the streets today, he would hardly be welcomed in the churches. As in time past, His messages would be too radical, provocative, unpleasant, and condemning for churchgoers today. Not only would he not be allowed to speak, but many would want to throw him out, or even seek to attack or kill him. The 4 Gospels are replete with all the hate and vilification Jesus experienced when he taught in the synagogues, and in the Temple. Many religious leaders hated him, and feared that Jesus would displace them. Jesus was in their way to power, money, and influence, and they sought to kill him.
Consider this: Would you be in the group that accepted Jesus as a prophet, or the group that shouted to ‘Crucify him’ Mk15:13,14, Lk23:21? Similarly, as Jesus was not readily accepted then, so will He not be accepted today. Things are very convoluted in these last days. Jesus prophesied ‘..when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?’ Lk18:8; ‘And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved’ Mt24:12-14.
Jesus also said ‘..ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake’ Mt24:9. Jesus said as in the days of Noah, so shall it be before his 2nd coming Mt24:37. America today has become a hedonistic, immoral, corrupt, and backslidden nation, and Biblical Christianity is fading fast.
Today’s Apostate Churches
Over the past 30 years, a new paradigm had emerged within the churches. It is the Seeker-Friendly (aka Emergent Church) movement, to have more people come to church, and also to enrich their coffers. Their focus is on the unchurched, rather than on the unsaved; how to have more people attending church by becoming more contemporary, entertaining with performances, plays, dances, and sermons being more palatable, and people-friendly. The Seeker-Friendly Church movement has caused an explosion in mega-churches with some memberships in the tens of thousands, and pastors becoming very wealthy.
Emphasis is placed on the individual’s personal needs rather than their spiritual needs; on self-edification than on personal salvation. These churches are often soft on sin, on fornication, on shacking up, on abortion, homosexuality, pornography, and on SSMs. Some even have homosexual pastors preaching, or creative gay people leading worship; using programs, dramas, sophisticated lighting and special sound effects, high-tech/multi-media support in their services, but often not preaching repentance, holiness, and the Gospel of Christ.
Sin and judgment are not being preached; holy living not advocated. Hell Is Never A Nice Topic To Talk About! There is more talk on fun and fellowship, surfing and sports, dating and marriage, raising children, support groups, health and weight loss, dieting, jokes, and Christian entertainment, rather than on the Gospel of Jesus Christ– on sin, judgment, repentance, God’s wrath, endtimes, what God is doing today, the lateness of the hour; how to be saved, how to pray, how to prepare for His coming; how to study the Bible, etc.
Humor and positive messages are used to make people feel good and entertained so that they will return each Sunday. While some programs are good, many attending may not be saved and ‘born again’ because the Gospel of Salvation was not preached! Today’s soft TV messages by wealthy televangelists are a very good example of the decadency and apostasy in today’s mega-churches, preaching prosperity and personal empowerment rather than personal repentance!
Why the Pulpits Are Silent, But Very Deadly
Like many businesses today, churches depend upon their membership base for financial support, survival and prosperity. While it is not fair to lump all churches and pastors into one big category, there appears to be a commonality in their approach in ‘doing church’. Most churches won’t speak against sin, against abortion, against premarital sex, immorality, homosexuality and SSM, about hell and damnation, the need for repentance and to be born again, and about holiness in order to remain saved, and to be taken in the Rapture.
They don’t want to offend their churchgoers with the truth. They avoid warnings about Satan, false prophets and false teachers, about the coming apostate One World Church, God’s impeding judgment, and the Endtimes.
Here are some reasons why the pulpits have become silent in preaching the Gospel, but very deadly to the souls of the church members:
- Many pastors don’t believe wholly in the Word of God; in repentance for the remission of sins Lk12:47, Ro1:18,28, 1Ti4:1, 2Th2:10.
- Many pastors don’t believe the end is near and that Jesus is returning soon. They don’t preach the need to prepare for the Endtimes Mt24:21.
- Many pastors don’t believe in Jesus’ warnings to be watchful and to be ready for the Rapture Mt24:13,42,25:13, Jn14:3, 1Th4:16-18.
- Many pastors don’t believe Satan is a real enemy who seeks to destroy us 1Pe5:8,9. They also don’t know about spiritual warfare Ep6:10-13.
- Many pastors don’t teach the importance of the Holy Spirit to lead, teach, guide, protect, and to perfect us in the Lord Ep4:13, Php3:15.
- Many pastors cherry pick their messages to soothe their listeners 1Ti4:1. They ‘having a form of godliness’, but lack God’s power 2Ti3:5.
- Many pastors fear loss of membership, income, and even gov’t intervention, so they compromise the Word of God.
- Many pastors are fulfilling the Endtime prophecy spoken by Paul of an apostate church- a great falling away 2Th2:3.
Finally, the watchmen are not watching, the pastors are not preaching repentance and salvation, and Satan has made great inroads into the churches. Jesus said ‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and Many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves’ Mt7:13-15.
Paul warned of preaching another gospel- one of compromise, convenience, and political correctness. He said if ‘we or an angel preached any other gospel than what we had preached.. let him be accursed’ Ga1:8. Paul warned in the last day many will have ‘a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof’ 2Ti3:5. Paul said ‘For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..’ Ro1:16. He said ‘it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe’ 1Co1:21.
The pastor’s first and last order of business should be to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ Jn3:16-17, and to save them from hell. Anything short of this is a total failure! Only Jesus Saves!

MANY– The Sad Plight of MANY in the Last Days
This paper is about the word MANY as it is mentioned in the Holy Bible, the Word of God. The word MANY is used to describe the multitudes, the crowd, the majority of people living on this earth- MANY people, in contrast to a FEW or a minority of people! The word MANY is used to describe the sad destiny of MANY in life today, and their final destination- HELL. This is not a polite subject, but a very impolite and inconvenient truth where MANY people or most people choose not to hear, or choose to ignore to their own demise!
Throughout the Bible, it teaches that ‘there is a heaven to gain, and a hell to shun’. Jesus said ‘For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?’ Mt16:26. Here Jesus is saying that, all the power, riches, and pleasures of this world are not worth one day of going to hell forever, when one loses his soul. There is no need to convince anyone of HELL, because deep in the recesses of everyone’s mind, everyone thinks of his own mortality, and what will happen to him after he dies. Heb9:27 tells us ‘..it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment’. But MANY choose to ignore or deny the subject of DEATH and HELL, since they may find it as a VERY INCONVENIENT TRUTH.
There is a CLIFF that MANY will one-day fall into that is far greater than the FISCAL CLIFF that America now faces and will one day soon plunge over. MANY will fall over into an abyss, a deep chasm, into an unquenchable everlasting fire, and an inescapable place called HELL. This is the reason God sent Jesus Christ to earth; to pay for our sins through His death and resurrection, in order to save our souls. Jn3:16-18 spell it out very simply: ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God’. Here we will examine how the word MANY is negatively used in the Bible to describe MANY people, and conditions that affect MANY in these last days.
1. MANY Not Saved and Heading for Destruction and HELL
Mt7:13,14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it. Mt24:12 .. because iniquity shall abound, the love of MANY shall wax cold.
2. MANY Backslidden Pastors, Leaders, and Followers Will Deny Jesus, and Be Denied by Him
Mt7:22,23 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done MANY wonderful works? ..then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mt19:30 .. MANY that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. Mt20:16 .. last shall be first, and the first last: for MANY be called, but FEW chosen. Jn6:60 MANY therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? Jn6:66 From that time MANY of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 1Co11:30 For this cause MANY are weak and sickly among you, and MANY sleep (die not discerning the body of Christ v29).
3. MANY False Prophets- False Christs and Teachers in the Churches Will Deceive MANY and Cause a Great Falling Away
Mt24:5 For MANY shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive MANY. Mt24:11 and Mk13:6.. MANY false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive MANY. Lk21:8 .. Take heed that ye be not deceived: for MANY shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ.. 2Co2:17 For we are not as MANY, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity.. in the sight of God speak we in Christ. Php3:18 For MANY walk, of whom I have told you often.. they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things v19. Tit1:10 For there are MANY unruly and vain talkers and deceivers.. 1Jn4:1 ..believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because MANY false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Th2:3 ..for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4. MANY Afflicted By Devils and Evil Spirits Even Today
Mk6:13 and they cast out MANY devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. Lk4:41 devils also came out of MANY, crying out… Thou art Christ the Son of God. Lk7:21 Jesus.. cured MANY of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto MANY that were blind he gave sight. Lk8:30 Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? and he said, Legion: because MANY devils were entered into him.
5. MANY Seeking Riches Will Destroy Themselves and Go To HELL
1Ti6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into MANY foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1Ti6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with MANY sorrows. Heb12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby MANY be defiled; Jas3:1 .. be not MANY masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2Pe2:2 .. MANY shall follow their pernicious (wicked) ways.. whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
6. MANY Antichrists Are in the World Today
1Jn2:18 ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY antichrists.. 2Jn1:7 For MANY deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Re13:4,5 ..they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? and there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue 42 months. Re13:15 ..that as MANY as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
The Bible Warns That MANY Will Go To HELL
From the scriptures above, the Bible warns that MANY people will not be saved, and sadly, will go to HELL. Is5:4 states ‘..HELL hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure..’.
In Part 1, Jesus states the way to HELL is a Broadway that MANY people will use to go there- which leads to destruction Mt7:13. Jesus also said because evil shall abound, the love of MANY for God and for the things of God shall become cold Mt24:12. MANY will be backslidden and will be destroyed!
In PART 2, Jesus said MANY will profess to know Him and supposedly serve Him, and use His name, but He will deny ever knowing them because they had worked iniquity (not doing the Father’s will, but their own will) Mt7:21-23. Jesus said MANY are first shall be last Mt19:30; MANY are called, but FEW are chosen Mt22:14. In Jn6:60-66, Jesus stated that MANY of his disciples left Him because they could not follow his hard saying, even like it is today. This group also includes those supposedly serving the Lord like in the ministry or priesthood, but are rife with charges of pedophilia and other sexual sins, and also those that have departed from the faith by unscriptural teachings, supporting gay marriages and even gay ministers! Because Jesus will profess that He never knew them and they are not in the book of life, MANY ministers and leaders will end up in the lake of fire forever Re20:15!
In PART 3, Jesus said in the endtimes, there will be MANY false christs and false prophets who shall deceive MANY Mt24:4,5,11. Jesus warned that there will gross deception such that it shall destroy MANY people’s souls. Paul wrote that there are MANY who will corrupt the Word of God 2Co2:17, and are enemies of the cross of Christ Php3:18. Paul said there will be a great falling away of once believers, and the AntiChrist (the man of sin) will be revealed 2Th2:3! John, the beloved, told us not be believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they be of God, for MANY false prophets are in the world 1Jn4:1!
MANY people do not know what ‘being saved or born again’ means Jn3:3,5. MANY people in churches today may not be saved, or think they are saved because they go to church! It is only once after accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, and living a NEW LIFE as a believer are you saved! 2Co5:17 states ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new’.
In PART 4, during Jesus days there were MANY people afflicted, tormented, or possessed by devils or evil spirits, and Jesus delivered and cured them from all of them. The Bible speaks more about devils/demons/evil spirits than it does about angels. They are evil and unclean spirits Lk8:2,Mk5:8; they are MANY Lk8:3; they are under the control of Satan Lk13:16; & they can possess people Mt8:29. Strong evidence that these demons are real and present today are the recent mass killings in schools and public places such as in Columbine, CO in 1999, Virginia Tech 2007, Fort Hood, TX 2009, Aurora, CO 2012, and Newport, CT 2012. MANY of these killers appeared deranged, depraved, drugged, and glassy-eyed, like some evil force took over them. These are extreme cases, but there are also MANY people today that are under the influence of Satan and some are ‘demon-possessed’ in our society!
In PART 5, Paul wrote that MANY people, in seeking riches fall into temptation and snares, destroy themselves. In today’s hedonistic society there is a great effort to gain wealth and riches for ones own pleasure, often they are ‘ill-gotten’. This is particularly so with the big bankers and Wall-Streeters, big corporations, drug companies, gamblers, drug-dealers, prostitutes, criminals and mafiosos, actors, ministers of the Gospel, prosperity preachers, televangelists, professional sports people, politicians, developers, labor-leaders, etc. MANY of these people have literally sold their souls to the devil for riches, and one day, will go to HELL! Paul said ‘For the love of money is the root of all evil’1Ti6:10. The love of money or gain is the basic motivation or root cause of all evil!
In PART 6, John wrote of antichrists, stating that there are MANY antichrists that are entered into the world. A broad definition of an anti-christ is one who is anti-God, anti-Bible, and anti-Jesus Christ. From this definition, one can see that the antichrist is not only a person, but also a political system, such as in America, which is fast becoming antichrist. The Bible states that the AntiChrist, the Beast, will arise one day to rule the world for 42 months. The AntiChrist will force people to worship him and his image, and all those who refused should be killed by beheading Re20:4.
The Testimony of Howard Pittman– MANY Heading For HELL
This is a testimony of a man who had a Near Death Experience (NDE), whom I personally met in 1999 while he was speaking in Hawaii. Howard Pittman, a Baptist minister for 35 years, had a NDE in 1979 after suffering a massive internal hemorrhage. Pittman was born in 1928 and may still be alive. Pittman shared of the glories of heaven, but he also spoke of a very disturbing & shocking observation. While visiting for a short time in heaven, the Holy Spirit showed him that 2000 people on earth died, but only 50 or 2.5% went to heaven; the rest, 1950 went to Hell. Pittman said 97.5% of the people did not make it to heaven but went to Hell.
In Matthew chapter 13 the parable of the Sower, Jesus stated that three out of four or 75% of the people that heard the Gospel rejected it. Only one of four heard and understood the Word of God, and became fruitful. If you also include the multitudes that have not heard the Gospel, then the 97.5% figure that Pittman gave is quite plausible. Jesus said ‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it’ Mt7:13,14.
Pittman laid the blame for this disastrous situation to the backslidden Laodicean churches of today Re3:14-17. He said that churches today are lukewarm, self-assured, and not preaching against sin and the need for repentance, and the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ. They are preaching soft, warm and fuzzy messages in comfortable churches, but not reaching out to the lost and warning the people about God’s judgment to come. Jesus said ‘But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men’ Mt15:9. There are very little teachings on holiness, sin, the devil, judgment, HELL and damnation, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, on the Rapture, the Endtimes, Satan, the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist, the mark of the Beast, and the return of Jesus Christ.
Ez3:18-19 warned ‘When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul’. Jesus asked ‘..when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?’ Lk18:8.
Thus, we see that the fate of MANY will be very bad- one of eternal damnation. The MANY include our family members, friends, neighbors, associates, fellow church members, ministers, and total strangers. We must warn the MANY to repent and also to not be in this crowd of MANY!
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as your Saviour, or have not repented of your sin, or if you are not sure of where you would go should you die, you can say this simple prayer of faith. The Lord will hear you and save you, and one day you will be with the Lord in heaven. Just pray, ‘Dear Jesus, I am a lost sinner. I believe that you died for me. Please forgive me for all my sins and come into my heart today. I accept you as my Lord and my Savior and with your help, I will live for you. Amen!’
Please DON’T BE A PART OF THE MANY that will go to HELL! Jesus said ‘..except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish’ Lk13:3. But the Bible also states when one sinner comes to the Lord, all heaven rejoices: ‘Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth’ Lk15:10. Also Paul wrote ‘.. work out your OWN salvation with fear and trembling’ Php2:12!
Be Rapture Ready or Be Left Behind
A few years ago, Angelica Zambrano, a young Ecuadorean girl in her early twenties, posted her riveting account of seeing heaven and hell, and of the Rapture. It has been visited by millions of people worldwide (See BLOGROLL on right side bar below). It can also be found at http://spiritlessons.com/documents/Prepare_to_meet_your_God/index.htm . Angela said ‘Jesus is only coming back for a holy people, and many of God’s children will not be ready on that day, and will be left behind in a world that will fall apart‘.
How can we be Rapture Ready and not be Left Behind? The Bible, through Jesus Christ, is our roadmap to the Father. Jesus said ‘I am the way the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ Jn14:6.. ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’ Heb13:5. Jesus said ‘.. the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life’ Jn6:63. By following Jesus words, we will find eternal life.
How to Be ‘Rapture Ready’ and to Prepare for the Lord’s coming. Here are some guidelines:
Love God and His Word, Abide In Jesus– Be Filled, Be Led, and Be Sealed by the Holy Spirit.
We must love the Lord thy God Mt22:37,Lk10:27; love one another Jn13:34,35. Abide in Jesus and His Word in us Jn15:7. We must be ‘filled with the Spirit’ Ep5:18. We must be led by the Holy Spirit: ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’ Ro8:14. We must be sealed by the Holy Spirit: ‘.. grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption’ Ep4:30. We must depend on the Spirit of Truth to teach and guide us Jn14:26,16:13. We must have fresh revelation from the Holy Spirit Jn16:13; to know what God is doing in these last days; ‘meat in due season’ Mt24:45. Paul wrote ‘But if the Spirit of (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’ Ro8:11. It is the Holy Spirit who will raise us to meet Jesus in the air 1Th4:17.
Watch and Pray

Jesus said ‘..they shall speak with new tongues’ Mk16:17. Paul said ‘I speak with tongues more than ye all’1Co14:18. Ask God for wisdom on how to be ready for His coming Jas1:5. Look for Jesus coming Ti2:13.
Know the Word of God- Have Faith in God
Faith is needed to please God He11:6. We must have faith in God Mk11:22. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God Ro10:17. Believe God and doubt not Mk11:23. We must know the Word to increase our faith Lk17:5. We must study the Word to be approved unto God. We must be able to rightly divide the Word of truth 2Ti2:15. We must live by ‘every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God’ Mt4:4. We must be sanctified by thy Word Jn17:17; be ‘sanctified and cleansed by the washing of the water by the Word’ Ep5:26. We must hide His Word in our hearts so as not to sin against God Ps119:11.
Know the many promises of God for protection, provisions and blessings Php4:19,Ps84:11. Know Psalm 91– the Psalm of protection from the devil- terror by night, arrow by day, pestilence, destruction and plagues; for long life and for salvation. Know Jesus, the Blessed Hope 1Tit2:13, and the power of his resurrection Php 3:10. Know who the Blessed are in the Beatitudes– the poor in spirit; they that mourn; the meek; they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness; the merciful; the pure in heart; the peacemakers; the persecuted and those persecuted for Jesus’ sake Mt5:3-16.
Repent- Be Pure and Holy
Repent and believe the gospel Mk1:15. ‘Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord’ Ac3:19. ‘Purify ourselves’ 1Jn3:3. Only the pure in heart shall see God Mt5:8, and be like Jesus 1Jn3:2. Ti2:13,14 tell us ‘Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works’. ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy’ 1Pe1:16. Paul wrote ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord’ Heb12:14. God has called us unto holiness 1Th4:7. Know Your Spiritual Authority Over the Devil
The enemy of our souls is Satan Re12:9, but we can have spiritual authority over him. Paul wrote we ‘.. wrestle against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places’ Ep6:12. ‘Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour’ 1Pe5:8. Know our power over the enemy. Binding and loosening Mt16:19,18:18. Use the name of Jesus to cast out devils Mk16:17. Stand on the Word of God for ‘..greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’ 1Jn4:4. God has given us the Spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind 2Ti1:7. Jesus has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy Lk10:19.
The Rapture Will Be An Elective One- Only You Alone Can Decide to be Taken Up
Who determines whether you will be taken in the Rapture or not? Like in accepting Jesus Christ to be saved, you alone must decide to be taken by making yourself ready as Jesus told us to do so! If you love the Lord’s appearing 2Ti4:8, are looking for that Blessed Hope Ti2:13, and for your redemption Lk21:28; if you are watching and praying to be accounted worthy to escape the coming evil Lk21:36; want to please God Heb11:5, have clean hands and a pure heart Ps24:4, are led by the Holy Spirit Ro8:14, seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness Mt6:33, are pure and holy Mt5:8,1Pe1:16, then Jesus will return to take you to heaven with Him Jn14:3.
If you want to participate in the Rapture, then you must prepare for it yourself! You must learn what the Bible says about the Rapture and how to be ready. If you do not want to be left behind, then you must make yourself ready. Thus the Rapture will be a very selective one! Only you alone can and will decide to be taken up in the Rapture or not!
