America in Decline and Under God’s Judgment Part II  Conclusion

As some of us enjoyed the 4th of July Independence Day with its picnics, barbeques, and fireworks, a good part of the America is suffering with wildfires, power outages including our nation’s Capitol, heat waves, and misery.

Deuteronomy chapter 28- God’s Warning of National Curses

These are the curses Moses wrote about should the nation of Israel disobey God’s Word:  ‘But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee’ De28:15.  They shall be cursed in the city, in the field, in their food supplies, and not be fruitful.  Nothing would go right with them.  There would be troubles, and rebukes in all that they do, and they will be destroyed and perish quickly because of their wickedness of forsaking God.  The Lord would bring pestilence and consume them off the land.  He would smite them with a consumption and sickness; with the sword, with blasting and mildew.  Thy heaven shall be brass and the earth shall be iron; their prayers will not be answered and God will not help them.  Drought and dust will set in when the rain ceases.  The Lord will allow their enemies to overcome them.  They will be in deep confusion, madness, blinded, and not prosper.  They shall be oppressed and spoiled.  Their wives shall be abused by other men; homes stolen from them.  They shall plant a vineyard, but will not enjoy the fruits of their labor.  The locusts or others shall consume them.  Others shall also take and consume their cattle and sheep.  Their sons and daughters shall also go into captivity.  They shall be an oppressed and desolate people, be taken into captivity and scattered, and become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword of a once great nation!  They shall need to borrow and no longer be the head, but the tail v44. All these curses came upon Israel and will also come upon America! 

America, Once the Beautiful is now America the Broken 

Perhaps the song America the Beautiful should have been our national anthem, the words being so beautiful.  This is the 1^st verse: 

‘O beautiful for spacious skies,  For amber waves of grain,  For purple mountain majesties. Above the fruited plain!  America!  America!  God shed his grace on thee and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea’.

But this is no longer true!  Why is America in such a terrible financial, economical, and moral shape?  Our productivity has fallen sharply and many factories are shuttered;  the national housing market has collapsed;  personal debt is at record levels;  banking and corporate failures rife.  Over 46 million people are receiving food stamps and over 53% of our college graduates today are either unemployed or under-employed, some with loans exceeding a $100,000.  Because of the present recession, over 25 million adults are living at home with their aging parents.  Many cities today are now blighted, with increasing street gangs and crime, such as Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland, Kansas City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Newark, Washington D.C, Baltimore, and Oakland.  In Detroit, a 3-br home can be purchased for below $10,000.  Many municipalities are also running out of money and in sharp deficit.  Corporate and personal bankruptcies continue to skyrocket.  Since 2008 the housing market has crashed with over 4 million homes foreclosed.  Latest gov’t statistics report an 8.2% unemployment rate, but using a former method of calculation, it should be more like 15%.  California recently announced a $16 billion deficit for FY2012, revised upward from an earlier $9 billion.  The US national debts stand at nearly $16 trillion, while back in 2008 it was less than $10 trillion.  America has fought two costly wars in Afghanistan and Iraq wasting vast amounts of money.  These no-win wars have saddled America with huge unrepayable debt.  Daily, the US Gov’t  spends over $4 billion more than what it receives, with annual deficits nearly $1.5 trillion over the past three years.  Today for every dollar America spends, nearly 50 cents is borrowed money with interest added on daily.  Presently there is a record heat wave hovering across the US with over 2000 records broken so far this year. Severe thunderstorms have struck the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic states causing fallen trees and power outages affecting 4 million people.  Wildfires have also broken out in many places, such that in Colorado Springs over 350 homes have been destroyed so far.  Texas is experiencing its worst drought in history, with a once 6000-acre lake completely dried up.  America appears forsaken by God and is no longer blessed, with all of her myriad social, economical, financial, and spiritual problems, and making the curses spoken by Moses in Deuteronomy 28 ring very true.

America Under Judgment- Obama Nation 

A nation is only as great as its leaders.  Pr29:2 states ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn’.  If the leaders are righteous, that nation will be blessed.  If the leaders are corrupt and evil, that nation will be brought down low.  This is also true for any organization, such as a church, a school system, and society in general.  This is God’s spiritual principle- do good, live; do evil, perish!  The Bible reveals many of God’s judgments on mankind due to violence and corruption.  In May 2012 Pres. Obama announced his support of gay marriages.  Earlier he declared that he would not defend the federal law passed by Congress in 1996 against gay marriages, DOMA (Defense of the Marriage Act) in federal courts.  He also removed the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ rule for the military.  Obama said his views have evolved through the influence of his friends and family, such that he now approves of gay marriages.  While Obama claims to be a Christian, he has openly praised the Koran and mocked the Holy Bible.  Conservative author David Barton’s wrote that Obama is the most biblically hostile president ever in America: http://www.wallbuilders.com/libissuesarticles.asp?id=106938

In 2008 it was shown  that Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright was very harsh against white America, even calling for God to damn her.  Before his inauguration, Obama in his travels abroad stated that America is no longer a Christian nation; neither a Muslim nor a Jewish nation.  Also Pres. Obama has been soft in his support of the traditional National Day of Prayer began in 1952 by Pres. Truman, not holding a White House ceremony generally in May for this occasion, like his predecessor George W. Bush.  But he has recently invited a LGBT (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transexuals) coalition to the White House on June 15, 2012, attended by 20 groups to advance their cause.  In America, June is Gay Pride month. The Pentagon recently announced they would allow the US military to celebrate it for the first time ever.  America is challenging and provoking God, and under her present immoral leadership is quickly becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah!

America’s Freedom at Stake- More Obama Nation;  More Judgment Coming 

Someone said ‘Today, freedom is taken away by a stroke of a pen;  tomorrow, it will be at the end of a gun barrel’.  The freedom that we long enjoyed is being eroded by new laws and actions by Congress and the Gov’t.  This year the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) was enacted which allows the military to imprison anyone without an arrest warrant, without issuing Miranda rights, without telling you why you are being seized and allowing you access to an attorney; against your constitutional rights, etc., all in the name of fighting terrorism.  On March 16, 2012 Pres. Obama issued an executive order called the NDRP (National Defense Resources Preparedness) that allows the Gov’t in a national emergency to confiscate anything that they deemed necessary- food, oil, water, etc.  It has recently been revealed that the NSA (National Security Agency) is building a super-spy data center in Utah by Sep 2013, to capture all forms of personal electronic communications, including the contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches; all sorts of personal data trails.  The use of spy drones with very powerful cameras in America’s skies is also increasing.  It is a ‘total information awareness’ program and a huge invasion of our personal privacy.  America’s freedom of information, of privacy, of speech, of religion, of movement, and of property are now at great risk- taken away by a stroke of a pen today, and later by a gun barrel.  This is the prelude to the full establishment of the Antichrist system that the Bible revealed in chapter 13 of the book of Revelation.  What will happen to America?  Obama and many of our leaders today are archetypes of the coming Antichrist 1Jn2:18.   Their decisions to support same sex marriage will turn America into a Sodom and Gomorrah and make America ripe for God’s judgment.  America is on a fast track to destruction.  She has become morally corrupt with sexual perversions, and is financially bankrupt!  Every major institution today now suffers malaise- marriages, families, churches, schools, etc.  Because we have rejected God and have forsaken His ways as written in the Holy Bible, God will also forsake us!   America is certainly in decline and under God’s judgment!
