The Bible speaks of the end of man’s rule on earth, and the coming day of the kingdom of God under the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ. One can easily see that the world we live in is literally falling apart. An excellent point is the once great America is now under great financial and economic distress, bankrupt ready to collapse. The other economic superpowers China and Japan are also facing similar problems themselves, and the Eurozone countries are not doing much better. For 6000 years since Adam, because of gross corruption and wickedness, man has proven incapable of ruling over himself and his fellowmen! Thus, the end of man’s gov’t will herald in the beginning of the God’s kingdom on earth.

To understand what will happen, we need to know what the Bible says about the coming Day of the Lord! However, whenever the Bible mentions ‘The Day’ or ‘That Day, it is often describing one of two main events in God’s calendar, so we need to distinguish which one is which. It could be referring to the Day of the Rapture of the Saints– the Secret Coming of Jesus Christ or the Day of God’s Wrath– the Public Coming of Jesus Christ. Proper understanding of What’s In a Day? in God’s timetable will guide us on how to live, and how to be prepared for that Day! If not, many will be LEFT BEHIND to face the coming dire Great Tribulation, and even death!

The term ‘Day of the LORD’ is found 29 times in the Bible. It often refers to the Great Tribulation in the Endtimes prior to the return of Jesus Christ. It is described as the Day of God’s Destruction and Wrath Job21:30. It is the Day of the LORD’s Fierce Anger Is13:13, and Vengeance Is34:8. It is a Day of Darkness Am5:20;the Great and Terrible Day of the LORDJoe2:31.That Day is a Day of Wrath, a Day of Trouble and Distress, a Day of Wasteness and Desolation, a Day of Darkness and Gloominess, a Day of Clouds and Thick DarknessZeph1:15.  However, the Day of the LORD is also used to describe the Day of the Rapture 1Th4:16,17, the Day of Escape and Salvation Heb2:3, the Day of Redemption Ep4:30, the Day of our Reward Lk6:23, Re22:12, and the Day of Our Lord Jesus Christ 1Co1:18, ‘the Perfect Day’ Pr4:18.

The word Rapture is Not Found in the Bible, but is used to describe a forthcoming significant event. Like the Rapture, there are many other terms that are not found in the Bible such as Trinity, Sunday School, spiritual warfare, denominations, seminary, and even the word Bible, but are accepted and understood. The word Rapture is commonly used to describe an ESCAPE from the coming Great Tribulation Lk21:36, Heb2:3, Mt24:21. Rapture comes from the Latin wordRapiemur’, which means ‘to be snatched up’, ‘to be raised up’, ‘to be taken up’, ‘to be seized, ‘to be CAUGHT UP in the AIR’, ‘to be translated into HEAVEN such as Enoch, Elijah, and Jesus were in time past! Paul said ‘By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was NOT FOUND, because God had translated him..’ Heb11:5. God took Enoch Ge5:24, Elijah 2Ki2:1,and Jesus Ac1:10, alive into HEAVEN as examples of the forthcoming Rapture that will happen in the endtimes!

Before Jesus was crucified, He told His disciples ‘Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions.. I go to prepare a place for you.. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be alsoJn14:1-3. Jesus promised to take us to where He is, to HEAVEN, in the Rapture. Paul saidFor the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then WE which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall WE ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words1Th4:16-18. Sadly, there are many who don’t comfort others with these words, don’t warn of the Lord’s soon coming, and don’t believe in, but speak against the Rapture, and often contradict the Word of God!

Jesus repeatedly warned us to ‘Watch and Pray’ so that we wouldn’t miss out on the day of His coming for us Jn14:3, the Day of Visitation 1Pe2:12. Jesus saidWatch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of manLk21:36. Watch what? Pray for what? Be worthy to ESCAPE what? What things shall come to pass? Stand before whom? Here Jesus was exhorting us to be ready for His return by being found worthy to ESCAPE the great distress of nations, with perplexity and great fear coming upon the earth Lk21:25-26. We shall then stand before Jesus, ‘which delivered us from the wrath to come’ 1Th1:10.

Jesus said ‘Watch therefore, for ye know neither the Day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh’ Mt25:13. The Day Jesus told us to ‘Watch and Pray’ for is the Day of His Appearing 2Ti4:8, 1Pe5:4, the Day of the Rapture of the Saints 1Th4:16,17, the Day of Our Reward Re22:12. It is the approaching Day of His coming for us Heb10:25. Hosea said ‘After two days will he revive us: in the 3rd Day he will raise us up, and WE shall live in his sight’ Hos6:2; the 3rd Day being 2000 years after Christ, when He will Raise us up. Pr4:18 states ‘..the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the Perfect Day’. The Day of the Rapture is the Perfect Day when WE will be glorified in Jesus 2Th1:10. John said ‘..WE know that, when he shall appear, WE shall be like Him; for WE shall see Him as he is1Jn3:2.

In the New Testament, the Day of the Lord is used 5 times to refer to the return of Jesus Christ to earth. The fact that Jesus will bring either Reward Mt16:27, Re22:12, or Judgment, logically speaks of two different Comings. The Secret Coming of Jesus is when only those looking for Him and are ready, will See Him, and ‘be CAUGHT UP.. to meet the Lord in the AIR’ 1Th4:16,17. Jesus said ‘Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall See GodMt5:8. John wrote ‘..when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall See Him as He is.. every man that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is Pure1Jn3:2,3. Only the Pure in heart shall See God. Without Holiness, no man shall See the Lord Heb12:14.

The Day of Jesus Secret Coming will be the Day of ESCAPE from the Great Tribulation Lk21:36, Heb2:3. Jesus said ‘..behold, I come quickly; and my Reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall beRe22:12. David asked ‘Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a Pure Heart..’ Ps24:3,4.

The Day of Jesus Public Return will be at the end of the Great Tribulation, when Every Eye shall See Him.. and all kindred.. shall wailRe1:7. For those not looking or unprepared for Jesus return and missing ‘..the Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ’ Tit2:13, they will not be taken in the Rapture, but go through the Great Tribulation the worst period ever in mankind’s history ‘such as never was or ever will beMt24:21. It will be a terrible, horrific, painful, miserable, and most fearful time in history. Jesus said ‘..except the days should before shortened, there should no flesh shall be saved..Mt24:22.

The Day of Jesus Secret Coming will be a surprise to most people for He will come as a thief in the night 1Th5:2, secretly and swiftly. Jesus said two would be in the field and one taken; two women grinding at the mill and one taken Mt24:40,41; two in bed and one taken Lk17:34. Jesus told us ‘But of that Day and hour knoweth no man, not even the angels, but my Father onlyMt24:36.That Day is the Secret Coming of Jesus; it will be a surprise for no man knows when. What is our Hope? It is to be ‘in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His Coming’ 1Th2:19. This is called ‘the Blessed Hope’ Tit2:13.

Paul saidFor God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain Salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ1Th5:9. But we must be blameless on the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ 1Co1:8. Paul wrote God ‘..which hath begun a good work in you shall perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ Php1:6. Jesus promised to raise us up at the Last Day. Jesus said ‘..every one which Seeth the Son, and believeth on him.. I will Raise him up at the Last Day Jn6:40. For those ready, the Last Day will be the Day of the Rapturethe Day of Jesus Secret Coming! Ep4:30 states ‘..grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby, we are sealed unto the Day of Redemption. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of Jesus Secret Coming. It is the Day of Redemption!

The Bible tells of the Day of Jesus Public Returnwhen EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIMRe1:7. Jesus will then returnafter the tribulation of those days.. with power and great glory’ Mt24:29,30. Jesus shall ‘..gather His Elect together from the four winds, from one end of HEAVEN to the otherv31. Notice here that His Elect shall be gathered together from HEAVEN. They were already raptured to HEAVEN, and will be returning with Jesus to Earth. Jude 14 states ‘..Behold, the Lord cometh WITH ten thousands of his saints’.

That Day of the Lord will be the Day of the Wrath of the Lamb Re6:16,17; the Day of His Fierce Anger Is13:13. Peter said it is the Day of Judgment 2Pe3:7; the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, when the heavens and the earth will pass away with a great noise and in fervent heat 2Pe3:10. On the Day of Jesus Public Return, no one needs to watch for EVERY EYE shall see Him, and they shall mourn and wail because of Him. Jesus will come to judge all on the earth Jn5:22, Ps96:13. The Day of the Lord will be a Day of Destruction and Desolation, great and terrible; a dreadful Day Mal4:5; the Day of Vengeance of our God Is61:2,63:4. It is the Day of the LORD’s Wrath and Anger Zep1:18, 2:3. Nothing will be secret about this coming Day, for EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM and WAIL Re1:7!

While the Bible states ‘.. it is appointed unto men once to die..’ Heb9:27, the Day of the Rapture will be a very special day when faithful believers will break their Appointment With Death! Ps79:11 states God has the power to ‘.. preserve thou those that are appointed to die and Ps102:20, to loose those that are appointed to death’. Jesus saidI am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever Liveth and Believeth in Me Shall Never Die. Believest thou this?Jn11:25,26. A parallel scripture, 1Th4:16-18 state ‘For the Lord himself shall descend from HEAVEN with a shout.. and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then WE which are ALIVE and REMAIN shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Clearly we see that Jesus will come down from HEAVEN to take those living, along with the dead ‘in Christ’, up to HEAVEN.

In Jn11:26, Jesus asked do we really believe this, and in 1Th4:18, Paul said we need to encourage one another with the words that Jesus is coming for us in the Rapture. Paul said that ‘..God hath not Appointed us to wrath, but to obtain Salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ’ 1Th5:9Paul states that we have an Appointment with Jesus, not to die, but be taken alive to HEAVEN. The apostle John said if we have this hope in Jesus to be like Him, we must purify ourselves, even as He is pure 1Jn3:3. Thus, we have a Divine Appointment with Jesus on the Day of the Raptureto meet Him in the AIR; never to die, but to be with Him forever! Faith is all about believing what God said He will do! NO FAITH, NO RAPTURE!

Both King David and righteous Job referred to a Day of being CHANGED, that is to have a Glorified Body like Jesus. David looked forward to being crowned with glory and honour Ps8:3.He saidAs for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy LIKENESSPs17:15. Likewise, Job also alluded to becoming like Jesus. He said ‘If a man die, shall he live again? all the Days of my Appointed time will I wait, till my CHANGE comeJob14:14. The apostle Paul said wehave the firstfruits of the Spirit.. waiting for the adoption, to wit, the Redemption of Our Body Ro8:26. Jesus said ‘And when these things Begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your Redemption draweth nighLk21:28. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of the Redemption of Our Body!

The Day of Redemption relates to the Day of Our Bodily Change, when our bodies will be redeemed fully from corruption into immortality. Paul wroteBehold, I shew you a Mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be CHANGED, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump.. the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be CHANGED. For this Corruptible must put on Incorruption, and this Mortal must put on Immortality.. then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?’ 1Co15:51-55.  Paul said ‘ one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men..’Ro8:12; but alsoThe last enemy that shall be destroyed is death1Co15:26. On the Day of the Rapture, we will receive an Incorruptible, Immortal, and Glorified body just like Jesus Christ. We will BE CHANGED ‘to be conformed into His Image’ Ro8:29!

In summary, when speaking of the Day of the Lord, the Bible speaks of two significant, but contrasting events in the Endtimes. The first event is the Day of the Rapture, and the other event is the Day of God’s Wrath. The Day of the Rapture is the Day of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Day of our Divine Appointment with God- our Escape, our Adoption, our Redemption, our Resurrection, our Reward, our CHANGE, our Immortality, and our Glorification. The Day of Judgment is the Day of God’s Wrath, God’s Vengeance, the Day of His Fierce Anger, the Day of Destruction, the Day of Darkness, the Great and Terrible Day of the LORD.

One can only prepare for the Day of the Rapture, but never for the Day of God’s Wrath and the Great Tribulation! Jesus repeatedly warned us to Watch, Pray, Be Ready, Be Pure, Be Holy, to Look for His return, in order to Escape the things which shall come to past in the Endtimes! If one does not believe in, or is not ready for the Rapture but is LEFT BEHIND, he will never be able to prepare for the atrocity that will occur during the Great Tribulation, a most terrible, horrendous, miserable, hopeless, painful, and grievous 42 months period of hell on earth Re13:5,7! Jesus said ‘..except those days be shortened, there should NO FLESH be saved..’ Mt24:22. This means if it were to continue, literally everyone would either die or be killed! There will be wars throughout the world, thermonuclear explosions, great natural disasters, famine, droughts, pestilence, and disease wiping out millions upon millions of people! Everyone would be helpless while living through it. Also if one does not have the FAITH to believe the words of the Lord, ‘I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that were I am, there you may be alsoJn14:3, then for sure, there is no other ESCAPE, but to be LEFT BEHIND to suffer in the Great Tribulation!

Finally, on the Day of the Rapture- the Day of Jesus Secret Coming, Jesus is coming FOR HIS SAINTS in the AIR. On the Day of Jesus Public Return- His 2nd Coming, Jesus is coming WITH HIS SAINTS back to earth to rule and reign. Re19:14 states ‘..the armies which were in HEAVEN followed Jesus upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean’. Jude 14 tells ‘Behold, the Lord cometh WITH 10,000 of his Saints’. This is ‘What’s in a Day’. In the Holy Bible, THE DAY OF THE LORD describes Jesus coming back twice- the 1st time FOR HIS SAINTS, and the 2nd time WITH HIS SAINTS! AMEN!

Why Jesus Came and Why He is Coming Again Part II Conclusion

Jesus Is Coming Again- the Rapture, and the 2nd Coming

In previous posts, I wrote of the Signs of the Coming Antichrist- the Dark Knight Rising, and Why Jesus Came.  In this post, we will also be looking at Why Jesus Is Coming Again and what He will accomplish as the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD of LORDS Re19:16.

As the whole world degenerates into increasing corruption, immorality, and sin, Jesus will deliver us from God’s wrath to come 1Th1:10.  Jesus will take us to heaven in the Rapture as He promised in Jn14:3, even as He was also bodily taken up Ac1:11.  This scene will soon be played out along with the economic collapse of all nations when God will pour out His anger on a reprobate world as in terrible scenes found in the book of Revelation.

There will be 42 months of great tribulation upon the earth under the tyrannical rule of the Antichrist.  This period prior to Jesus’ return to earth will be a most brutal, horrific, and cataclysmic time in the history of mankind.  Jesus said ‘For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved..’ Mt24:21,22.  The world will be in Great Tribulation with millions upon millions of people slaughtered in wars and death due to thirst, starvation, pestilence, disease, and by great earthquakes and natural disaster.  It would be the time of the world domination of the Antichrist and the False Prophet for 42 months Re13:5; an absolute dictatorial system of rule and religion, subjecting people to forced worship of the Antichrist, in an economic system unsurvivable unless one takes his 666 mark Re13:17.  The resources of the earth will be greatly diminished and will be rationed!  This is already beginning to happen.  All forms of freedom will be taken from them, and all will suffer great deprivation, fear and oppression!

Jesus will then return the 2nd time to earth to battle the Antichrist and the False Prophet Re19:11-20 and cast both of them into a lake of fire.  He will then have Satan bound and cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years Re20:1,2, and will establish His glorious kingdom on earth Re20:4.   Jesus said ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory’ Mt24:30.  He said ‘..Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory’ Lk21:25-27.   Re 1:6 tells ‘Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him’.  We will now look at scriptures of the soon coming of Jesus Christ!

  • Re19:19  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet .. both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

In this 2nd and final coming, Jesus Christ will fulfill all that is written of Him in the Bible; to establish God’s kingdom on earth, in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost Ro14:17.  All those who are called, and chosen, and faithful Re17:14, those who had part in the first resurrection, the Rapture 1Th4:16,17, the overcomers Re2:26,27 will then reign with Jesus for a thousand years Re20:6!

Please stay tuned!  My next post will be  JESUS, THE GREATEST PERSON THAT EVER LIVED! Thank you!

Why Jesus Came and Why He Is Coming Again Part I

The Reasons For Jesus Coming to Earth

Knowing why Jesus came to earth is of utmost importance to our lives now and hereafter. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun, and it all depends upon what we do with this person Jesus that will determine where we will end up.  We will look at scriptures on why Jesus came and why He is coming again to earth.  It is all about God’s 7000-year plan for mankind as revealed in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.  The reason and purpose for Jesus Christ coming to earth are myriad, revelational, and eternal.  The Bible states ‘ one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men’ Ro5:12.  Jesus was sent by God to save us, by dying on the cross for our sins.  Jn3:16,17 state ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved’.  This is the main reason why Jesus came to earth, but there are other reasons also.

Jesus came to reveal God to us, to heal the sick and to deliver us from the clutches of Satan, the devil, and to destroy his works.  Jesus came to prepare the way so that He could then send the Holy Spirit to empower us to live and serve Him.  Jesus will soon return secretly in the Rapture only for those faithful and ready in Christ, to receive them unto Himself in heaven.  After that Jesus will return the 2nd time, to judge the world and to establish His kingdom on earth for a 1000 years!

Jesus Came to Save Sinners- Jesus Saves

  • Mt1:21 his name Jesus-for he shall save his people from their sins.
  • Mt9:13  ..I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  Also Mk2:17.
  • Lk9:56   For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.
  • Lk19:10  .. Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.   Also Mt 18:11.
  • Jn12:47  I come not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Jesus Came to Reveal and Do the Father’s Will

  • Jn1:18  ..the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
  • Jn4:34  My meat is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.
  • Jn5:43  I am come in my Father’s name..
  • Jn6:38  I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me.
  • Jn17:4  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Jesus Came To Free Us By Bringing Us Truth, and To Give Us An Abundant and Eternal Life

  • Jn1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
  • Jn8:32 shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.  v36 if the Son therefore make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
  • Jn14:6  ..I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh to the Father but by me.
  • Jn10:10  ..I am come that they might have life and they might have it more abundantly.
  • Mt20:28  ..the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
  • Ro6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Came To Destroy the Works of the Devil

  • Mk1:34 he healed many that were sick…and cast out many devils.   Mk16:17  ..In my name ye shall cast out devils..
  • Col2:15 having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
  • 1Jn3:8 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested; that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus Came to Preach, Reveal, Unveil and Announce the Gospel of the Kingdom of God

  • Mt4:23 and 9:35 Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching.. preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and  every disease of the people.
  • Mt6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  • Mk1:15  ..the time is fulfilled.  The kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe the gospel.
  • Ac1:3  Jesus ..being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
  • Ro14:17  For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Other Reasons For Jesus Coming

  • Mt5:17  ..I am not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfil it.
  • Mt 10:34  I came not to send peace, but a sword.
  • Lk 3:16  Jesus ..shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
  • Ac1:5 shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost..
  • Lk12:49  I am come to send fire on the earth..v51 not peace on earth..but division.
  • Jn9:39 For judgment I am come into this world..
  • Lk4:18,19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal  the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are  bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus fulfilled all of the above that God sent Him to do at His 1st coming.  Jesus did exactly the will of God before He was taken back into heaven and is now sitting on the right hand of God in glory and power Mk16:19, Ac1:11.  He paid the price for all of our sins by dying on the cross for us.  He was resurrected to life, remained 40 days more on earth, and then was taken to heaven.  Ten days later on the day of Pentecost, Jesus baptized 120 disciples with the Holy Spirit Ac2:1-4, as He had promised and also for those now living today Jn16:7, Ac1:5,8.  By receiving the Holy Spirit, we then have power to witness Jesus and to take the Great Commission of the Gospel into all the world Ac1:8, Mk16:15.  Before his crucifixion & ascension into heaven Ac1:9, Jesus had promised that He would return (secretly) one day in the Rapture, only for those who made themselves ready Ti2:13,14.  Jesus said ‘.. I will come again, & receive you unto myself; that where I am (in heaven), there ye may be also’ Jn14:3. We will next look at scriptures regarding the Rapture, & the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ to earth.

End of Part I… To be continued!

Time Running Out.. Part II Conclusion

Time Running Out On Mankind

Earlier, it was mentioned how the world will collapse under the huge amount of debt the major nations have already accumulated.  America is a sterling example of deficit spending- borrowing to run a big federal government- for her growing social programs, and to fight no-win wars in far-off lands.  Here is what has happened to the US national debt.  It took 200 years for our nation to grow to $1 trillion in debt; then 10 years later 1986, $2 trillion.  By 1992, it doubled to $4 trillion, and doubled again in 2005 to $8 trillion.  Today in 2012, the US national debt is almost $16 trillion, representing about $50,000 per person for everyone living in America.  Since Pres. Obama took office just 3 1/2 years ago, our national debt has ballooned over 60%, from $10 trillion to $16 trillion.                                                             (Source:

With just normal progression, where would you think the US national debt and the US$ will be in three or four years?   Since Pres. Nixon in 1971 closed the ‘gold window’ for foreign nations to exchange their US$ into gold, the value of the US$ today is only worth 18 cents in purchasing power, and will continue to lose value due to excessive printing of US$ by the Federal Reserve Bank.  The present US national debt situation is untenable, as nations of the world are dumping their weakening US$, and seeking another world reserve currency to replace the US$, which has been king since 1943.  Before this happens, the US national debt will exceed $20 trillion and the US$ will be worth less than 10 cents.  A financial collapse will certainly occur in the next few years, if not sooner!

Mankind’s 6000 Years Almost Over- Jesus Will Soon Return

The 6000-year period since Adam is significant because it signifies that we are living in the last days of mankind.  The Bible speaks of the last days of mankind.  Peter stated ‘that one day is with the Lord as a 1000 years, and a 1000 years as one day..’ 2Pe3:8,9.  So by God’s own reckoning, from Adam till today is six days, or 6000 years.  As God created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the 7th day, God will soon rest when Jesus Christ returns and establishes His millennial kingdom on earth.  But before this happens, all the terrible judgments and woes cited in the book of Revelation will come to pass before He returns.  There are many signs pointing to the last daysGod has chosen the nation of Israel to reveal His timetable.  A significant sign is the rebirth of the nation of Israel.  On May 14, 1948, after 2500 years of foreign rule, the Jews returned to their homeland by a UN decree.  In concession for the 6 million European Jews killed during WWII, the Jews were allowed to ingather from many nations into Israel.  The prophet Isaiah rhetorically asked ‘Who hath heard such a thing? ..  shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children’ Is66:8.  In 1948, the nation of Israel was born at once.  Another sign, Jesus foretold 2000 years ago, that the Jews then would ‘fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled’ Lk21:24.  The destruction of Jerusalem happened in 70 AD under the Roman Emperor Titus, and the Jews were led captivity into all nations.  But in the 1967 Six Day War, for the 1st time in 2500 years, Israel was able to regain control of Jerusalem from the Gentiles by miraculously defeating a superior multi-national force.  Zech14:1-3 foretell of a final war involving all nations against Israel which will occur soon, and that ‘the Lord shall go forth and fight against those nations’.  God promised Abraham, ‘And I will make of thee a great nation..  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed’ Ge12:2,3.  In the end, those nations that side with Israel will be blessed, and those against her will be cursed.  Jesus will then reign from Jerusalem over the world for 1000 years.  Here we see that God’s 7000-year plan for mankind is integrally and mysteriously tied in with the nation of Israel.

Another sign of the last days is the increase in man’s arrogance and immorality.  Paul said ‘that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away’ 2Ti3:1-5 (very little repentance, salvation, healing, and deliverance in today’s churches).  Still another key sign, Jesus foretold of rampant deception in the last days Mt24:4,5,11,24.  Through deception by many false prophets and false christs, the churches today are in steep apostasy.  Paul wrote speaking of the Antichrist, ‘that the day of Lord shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition’ 2Th2:3.  We are certainly living in the last days before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Satan’s 6000-Year Dominion Soon Coming To An End

Through the 6000 years of civilization, kingdoms have risen and fallen.  Satan controlled all of them, using evil men to do his bidding.  Satan even offered to give Jesus: ‘all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them..  will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me’ Mt4:8,9.  The strong prey upon the weak; the mighty, the helpless.  There have been countless wars, battles, and conflicts resulting in many deaths.  Rapes, suicides, murders, and killings are common.  People worship Satan, many false gods, and money.  False religions and idolatry proliferate, keeping people in ignorance, and in fear and bondage.   Sicknesses, diseases, famines, pestilence, and natural disasters are commonplace.  Satan has killed many people, stolen many souls, and continues to destroy mankind Jn10:10.   Satan has caused multitudes to go to hell.  However, Satan’s dominion over mankind is soon coming to a close.  The Bible states ‘Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time’ Re12:12.  Jesus will soon return to battle the beast and the false prophet, and will cast them both into the lake of fire Re19:19,20.  Then an angel from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand will bind Satan and cast him into the bottomless pit for a 1000 years Re20:1,2.  When Satan is bound, this ends his 6000-year dominion over mankind, and he loses all his kingdoms.  Re11:15 states ‘the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever’.  The 7th 1000-year of God’s plan for mankind as found in the Bible, the 7th day, the day of God’s rest, will then come to pass.  A new age of righteousness, peace and joy is coming when Jesus, the Prince of Peace, returns to establish His kingdom on earth.  Then after Jesus 1000-year reign, there will be a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and earth were passed away Re21:2.  New Jerusalem, the holy city, the bride of Christ, will descend out of heaven from God Re21:2,9,10.  Eternity will then begin!

God’s Plan For Mankind- a Holy People For Himself

In the process of the 6000 years of mankind since Adam, God has been calling a holy people unto Himself to be separated from the world, and to follow Him.  To achieve that, God sent Jesus Christ to save us and to be our example.  God then gave us His Holy Spirit to lead us; to be like Christ, and the Holy Bible to guide us in our walk.  An acronym for the BIBLE is ‘Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth’;  another, ‘Believers Instruction Book for Life Eternal’.  Because God is Love 1Jn4:8, He wants to give us everything that He has.  But because God is also Holy and Just, He is constrained to give it only to those that are holy and deservingSo this is the reason why God created usto have more sons and daughters like Jesus Christ- to be His heirs.  Ro8:16,17 state ‘we are the children of God..  heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together’.  Ro8:29 says ‘For whom (God) did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that (Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren’.  Re21:7 states ‘He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son’.  Mt25:34 says ‘Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world’.  God wants us to reign with Jesus Christ in his millennial kingdom Re5:10.  Finally, God wants to give us His glory Jn17:22, and for us to become like Him Ep3:19.   Heb2:10 states ‘It became (God)..  in bringing many sons unto glory..’.  Our short time on earth is just a testing period for God to find out who is worthy to receive His glory.  God is preparing a holy people unto Himself for eternity, which goes far beyond the Bible’s 7000-year account of God’s dealing with mankind.   In short, God wants us to be like Him Ep3:19,1Jn3:2, and to give us everything that He has, including eternity- forever and ever.  Amen!

Time Running Out On Mankind Part I

Time is running out on mankind. The whole world appears in serious trouble of destruction and collapse.  Financially, Europe is in near collapse, and America is not very far behind.  Japan has the most public debt equivalent to 250% of their annual gross domestic product  (GDP) of any major nation in the world.  Excessive debt is strangling the economies of the world.  Recent natural disasters are also taking its toll, such as the 9.0 earthquake in Northern Japan last year, and now the drought that is spreading over the entire US farmlands.  Grain prices, especially corn, wheat, and soybeans, have rocketed since the beginning of July 2012, as the recent heat wave broke over 3000 temperature records in the US.  Farmers in the US are comparing this with with the terrible dust bowl drought of the 1930s.  If drought conditions continue, we in America will experience soaring prices for our food, energy, and even for water.  Add to this is an incipient major war in the Mideast, where the major nations in the world are lining up and taking sides.  Things are really looking bad for mankind, and what will happen next is very well-scripted in the Holy Bible, written thousands of years ago.  For a more cogent background on the world economic collapse, please refer to

The Bible- the History of Mankind

The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, covers a period of only 7000 years of mankind on earth.  Some Bible scholars have traced the timeline from Adam to Christ as 4000 years, and from Christ till today, about 2000 years.  Then Jesus will return and establish His 1000 year reign on earth. There is very little mentioned in the Bible of what happened before and what will happen after.  Why did God create us?  What is life all about?  Why are we here? Why is life so short?  Do we all have to die?  What does God have in mind for man?  What will happen after the 7000-year period?  Where will we spend eternity?  Nearly 6000 years have passed since Adam, and the Bible states Jesus will return to establish His 1000 years kingdom on earth.

In short, the Bible can be summarized as an account of man’s generation, degeneration and regeneration.  It speaks of man’s redemption- salvation, justification, sanctification, and glorification Ro8:30.  It speaks of how God came to earth 2000 years ago in the person of Jesus Christ, to die for our sins in order to redeem us.  Jesus is the only person, who fulfilled his own prophecy of his death and resurrection.  Jesus was crucified, died, became alive again, and ascended into heaven.  Jesus then sent the Holy Spirit to empower us to preach the gospel into all the world; after that He said he will return again to earth.

The Fall of Mankind- Three Epic Falls  Over  a 6000 Year Period

The Bible speaks of two past great falls of mankind, and a 3rd great fall coming up again, near the end of 6000 years.  The 1st fall of man occurred in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve sinned against God.  This is when sin and death entered into the world Ro5:12.  Then about 1500 years later, the 2nd fall of man occurred.  In Noah’s days, the debauchery, corruption, and violence led God to destroy millions of people with a great flood, except for Noah and his family.  Ge6:5,10-12 state ‘The wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart’.  The 3rd and final fall of man will occur soon when God will destroy the earth again, this time not by water, but by fire.  Peter said ‘But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up..’ 2Pe3:10.  Jesus said to watch for the signs and to be ready for His coming.  One key sign of Jesus’ return is the increasing corruption and violence on earth as in the days of Noah.  God’s severe judgment will again fall on the earth.  Jesus warned ‘For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be’ Mt24:21.  Jesus said ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away’ Mt24:35.

The Bible- Only a 7000 year Account of Mankind and the Brevity of Our Lives On Earth

Though scientists claim that earth is about 4.5 billion years old, the Bible is only a 7000-year account of God’s dealing with mankind.  The Bible reveals God’s plan and purpose for man, of which 6000 years have nearly transpired, and there is still another 1000 years to go.  To illustrate how short 6000 years is, a 60 year old man living today would only have to go back a 100 generations and he would meet up with Adam.  After this, Jesus will establish His 1000-year kingdom on earth.  The big question is what happens after the 7000 years of mankind.  The Bible states there will be a new heaven and a new earth Re21:1, and then eternity will begin.  In God’s eyes, 7000 years is like a blink.  It is insignificant compared to the endless eternity and the everlasting life that God promised to those who believe in Jesus Christ.  Simply put, man’s time on earth is very short.  The scripture states ‘..what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away’ Jas4:14.  Our lives are like the grass that withers away Ps102:11.   King David said ‘The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years..’ Ps 90:10.  From the days of David, 3000 years ago to today, our life expectancy is not much more than 70 to 80 years.  Whether we live for 60, 70, 80, or 100 years, the brevity of our lives on earth should compel us to repent, and accept Jesus Christ as Saviour so that we can escape hell and  have everlasting life in heaven.

The Earth- Our Testing Place and Our Lives a Test

Our short lives on earth is a test.  Ecc3:1,2 state ‘To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die’.  If this life is so short, where will you spend eternity? Our next destination after earth is either heaven or hell.  Jesus said ‘Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat, Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it’ Mt7:13,14.  Earth is our testing place where we will either accept Jesus Christ as Saviour, or not.  God never sends anyone to hell; it is our sins that will, for there is no sin in heaven.  The New Testament is God’s love letter to us.  Jn3:16-17 state ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting lifeFor God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved’.  Jn3:36 states ‘He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him’.  The only chance we will have to accept Jesus and be saved is during our lifetime.  He9:27 tells ‘It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment’.  Ro6:23 states ‘The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord’.  The state of our soul upon death, whether we are saved or not, will determine our destination.  The Bible states that there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.

Earthly and Immoral Pursuits, vs Eternal Life

The Bible says the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word of God and make us unfruitful in the things of God Mt13:22.  In America and elsewhere, many seek riches, better jobs and cars, bigger homes, more real estate, stocks and bonds investments and more money.  Jesus said ‘.. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God’ Mt19:23,24.  Jesus questioned ‘For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?’ Mk8:36,37.  Paul said ‘For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows’ 1Ti6:10.  The wealth of many is often ill-gotten through devious means of exploitation, cheating, theft, drugs, crimes, pornography, prostitution, gambling, real estate and stock manipulations, war-profiting, and other evils.  The price of our own soul and eternal life is worth much more than all the riches of the world.  Today, there are over 1200 billionaires, and untold millionaires in this world.  But no one can buy eternal life because it is not for sale; ‘.. it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast’ Ep2:8,9.  After death, their money will be useless to them.  Also their wealth is often a hindrance to their salvation.  James wrote ‘Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth eaten.  Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.  Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days’ Jas5:1-3.  Billions in hell have exchanged their souls for temporary pleasures, power, and riches in earthly and immoral pursuits.  We all have our own freewill to choose between eternal life and eternal damnation.  This is all part of God’s 6000-year plan for man; whether we will choose Jesus and eternal life or not!
