The Rapture may come sooner than most people think. As there is great increasing turmoil in today’s world, it appears that we may be living in the last days before Jesus’ return for His saints in the Rapture. Major conflicts and wars are developing, apocalyptic natural disasters increasing, major pandemics such as Ebola flaring up, and  a major world financial collapse due to great indebtedness is on the horizon. Also gross immorality, debauchery, greed, corruption, violence, and wickedness are on the rise.

Jesus warned ‘For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the BEGINNING of the world to this time..’ Mt24:21. Jesus said ‘And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth DISTRESS OF NATIONS, WITH PERPLEXITY; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken’ Lk21:25,26.

Jesus also said Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to Escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man Lk21:36, and ‘.. be ye also Ready; for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of man comethMt24:44. The apostle John wrote ‘..abide in (Jesus); that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, we may have CONFIDENCE, and not be ASHAMED before Him at his coming’ 1Jn2:28. The Rapture will come as a sudden surprise, and many will be ASHAMED because they were not Ready. If so, they will be LEFT BEHIND to suffer in the coming Great Tribulation.

We must be Rapture Ready because ‘..the day of the Lord so COMETH AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT’ 1Th5:2, furtively. Jesus said He is coming only for those who are Ready for Him Mt24:44; for a Church ‘without spot or wrinkle.. holy and without blemish’ Ep5:27; for a pure and holy people Ti2:14, for those that are watching and praying Lk21:36. Jesus said ..behold, I COME QUICKLY, and my REWARD is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be’ Re22:12. The apostle Paul wrote ‘waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also CONFIRM YOU UNTO THE END, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ’ 1Co1:8.

Paul said ‘..unto them that look for Him shall he APPEAR THE SECOND TIME without sin unto SALVATIONHeb9:28. After the Rapture, great tribulation, perplexities, anxiety, and suffering shall affect every living soul Mt24:21. He wrote ‘that day shall not come except there be a falling away first..’ of many church members falling into apostasy 2Th2:3-12; ‘God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain SALVATION by our Lord Jesus Christ’ 1Th5:9; ‘even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come’ 1Th1:10. Jesus said ‘..except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish’ Lk13:5 and ‘..except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved’ Mt24:22.

God has given many people visions and prophecies regarding the Rapture. A few years ago, Angelica Zambrano, an Ecuadorean girl in her early 20s, posted a riveting account of seeing heaven, hell, and the Rapture at   Angela said Jesus is ONLY coming back for a holy people, and many of God’s children will not be ready on that day, and will be left behind in a world that will fall apart. How can we be Rapture Ready and not be Left Behind? The Bible is our roadmap to Jesus and the Father. Jesus said ‘I am the way the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me’ Jn14:6; ‘I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee’ Heb13:5. Jesus said ‘.. the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life’ Jn6:63. By following Jesus words, we can become Rapture Ready and not be Left Behind.

The Lord saidMy people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee’ Hos4:6. Unless we have knowledge of the Endtimes and are preparing for Jesus’ coming, God will reject us and we will be Left Behind to live in a world that is falling apart! Jesus said ‘..I will come again, and receive you unto myself Jn14:3.

We must be Rapture Ready or we will all perish like the people in Noah’s days, or the 5 foolish virgins who were not ready Mt25:11. Many will be Left Behind, not prepared to escape ‘the wrath of God (that) cometh on the children of disobedience’ Co3:6. The Rapture is an ESCAPE from the Great Tribulation coming upon the earth. Paul wrote ‘ shall we ESCAPE, if we neglect so great SALVATION  Heb2:3. He said ‘ out your own SALVATION with fear and trembling’ Php2:12. Jesus said ‘when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, lift up your heads; for your REDEMPTION draweth nigh’ Lk21:28! Thus, we see that the RAPTURE in itself  is our ESCAPE, our SALVATION, and also our REDEMPTION!

Ti2:13,14 state ‘Looking for that BLESSED HOPE, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ,Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and PURIFY unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works’Not to be ready, is to be Left Behind, to suffer in the coming Great Tribulation. Those not ready, who left their first love, the lukewarm, the fornicators Re2,3, those who love the world 1Jn2:15 will be Left Behind. While it is not certain when the Rapture will be, we are told to watch for the signs of His coming and to be ready. Jesus said ‘I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also’ Jn14:2,3.

While in the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed, Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, BE WITH ME WHERE I AM..’ Jn17:24. Jesus is now in heaven Ac1:11! Paul said ..For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise firstThen we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words1Th4:16-18. This is the Rapture of the Saints. Jesus himself shall descend from heaven and cause the dead and those alive in Him to arise up, to be caught up together to meet Him in the air and to be with Him forever.

We are told to comfort one another with these wordsBut unless pastors and leaders prepare people for Jesus’ coming and the Rapture, many believers, including themselves, will be Left Behind. Sadly, many pastors don’t believe in a Rapture or that we are living in the Endtimes. They give no comfort as they were told. Thus, many believers will also be duped and unprepared for the Rapture and will be Left Behind.

Signs of Jesus’ Coming

There are many signs in the Bible which prophesied the soon coming of Jesus Christ to earth. 1. The rebirth of the nation Israel Is66:8, 2. The worldwide preaching of the gospel of the kingdom to all nations Mt 24:14, 3. Great earthquakes in divers places; famines, pestilences, and diseases; fearful sights and great signs from heaven Lk21:11, 4. Increasing immorality, corruption, and violence 2Pe2:6, 5. Many false prophets deceiving many Mt24:11; 6. Great apostasy in the churches 2Ti3:5, and a falling away of believers 2Th2:2-12, 7. Wars and rumors of war Mk13:7, 8. Distress of nations with perplexity Lk21:25, 9. The rise of the Antichrist in the New World Order- a One World gov’t, religion, society, economic and monetary system Re13:1-18, 10. Great tribulation such as the world has never known before Mt24:21. Other signs describe people in the last days as being very greedy, wicked, immoral, proud, arrogant, hedonistic, homosexuals, and false worshippers 2Ti3:5.

The book of Revelation also gives many more Endtime signs before Jesus returns. It speaks of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse of war, famine, death and destruction, worldwide pestilence and desolation Re6. One third of the earth will be affected, and many killed Re8,9. Today there are over 10 nations with nuclear weapons, so a catastrophic nuclear war is very likely occur. Jesus said Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man Lk21:36. We must endure till the end to be to be saved Mt24:13 from the terrible things coming upon the earth; to escape death and to take part in the Rapture. To be Rapture Ready requires revelation on what is happening today and what God is doing, to know that we are nearing the end, and to be prepared for Jesus’ coming.

Parables Regarding the Rapture

Jesus spoke many parables regarding how we should live, and what the kingdom of heaven was liken to. The Parable of the 10 Virgins is a good example of the coming Rapture Mt25:1-13. Five virgins were wise because they had sufficient oil in their lamps, and five were foolish, not having enough oil. They all went forth to meet the Lord, but slumbered and slept while waiting for the bridegroom. At midnight, there was a shout ‘..Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him’ v6. All the virgins trimmed their lamps, but the foolish virgins ran out of oil and asked the wise for some for their ‘lamps are gone out’ v8. The wise virgins told them to go and buy their own oil.

Meanwhile ‘the bridegroom came and they that were READY went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut‘ v10. The foolish returned and said ‘Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I KNOW YOU NOT. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh’ v11-13. Many have speculated what the oil symbolizedthe Holy Spirit or the Word of God, but in this parable Jesus flatly said I KNOW YOU NOT!’  Here ALL WERE VIRGINS waiting to meet the Lord, but Jesus disclaimed knowing the 5 foolish virgins even though they did return later with some oil. Jesus disclaimed knowing them and they were Left Behind. The foolish virgins names were not found in ‘the Lamb’s book of life’ Re21:27; ‘And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire’ Re20:15. We must be wise and not remain foolish to be taken up in the Rapture and to be with the Lord forever 1Th4:17.

Another is the Parable of the King Son’s Wedding Feast Mt22:1-14. MANY were invited to come, but they refused, and some even killed the King’s messengers. The Kingwas wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city’. Then he sent his servants  saying ‘The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as MANY as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as MANY as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a WEDDING GARMENT? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For MANY are called, but FEW are chosen’ v7-14. Could this mean only a FEW will be chosen to partake in the Rapture? Here we see that this guest was not clothed properlynot having a wedding garment’. He was cast into outer darkness (hell) and in torment. We need the right garments on to be taken in the Rapture.

The apostle Peter said to ‘ clothed with humility’ 1Pe5:5. Paul wrote ‘Put on the whole armour of God.. having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God’ Ep6:11-17. We must be clothed properly with humility, holiness, truth- the word of God, righteousness and faith in order to partake in the Rapture.

We must love God, abide In Jesus and in His Word and be filled, be led, and be SEALED with the HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE Ep1:13. We mustlove the Lord thy God with all thy heart, thy soul, thy mind.. love one another as thyself  Mt22:37,39, and abide in Jesus and His Word in us Jn15:7. We must be filled with the Spirit Ep5:18 and be led by the Holy Spirit: ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’ Ro8:14.

Paul wrote ‘.. grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of REDEMPTION!’ Ep4:30. We must depend on the Spirit of Truth to teach and guide us Jn14:26,16:13. We must have revelation- ‘meat in due season’ Mt24:45 from the Holy Spirit to know what God is doing in these last days. Paul wrote ‘But if the Spirit of (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’ Ro8:11. It is the Holy Spirit of God who SEALS us and will Raise us up in the Rapture on the day of our REDEMPTION!

Repent- Be Pure and Holy

Jesus said ‘Repent and believe the gospel’ Mk1:15. ‘Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of REFRESHING  shall come from the presence of the Lord’ Ac3:19. Ask God to ‘forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness’ 1Jn1:9. Forgive one another Mt6:12. Confess our faults Jas5:16. Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with thy God Mic6:8. Paul wrote ‘.. if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new’ 2Co5:17. We must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus; also lose our lives for His sake Mt16:24,25. Purify ourselves’ 1Jn3:3.

Only the PURE in heart shall SEE God Mt5:8, and be like Jesus 1Jn3:2. Paul wrote LOOKING for that Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and PURIFY unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works’ Ti2:13,14.  Peter said ‘Be ye HOLY; for I am HOLY’ 1Pe1:16. He said ‘Follow peace with all men, and HOLINESS, without which no man shall SEE the Lord’ Heb12:14. God has called us unto HOLINESS 1Th4:7.

Watch and Pray

Jesus said ‘Watch ye therefore, and Pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man’ Lk21:36. ‘Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come’ Mt24:42. ‘Pray without ceasing’ 1Th5:17. Pray ‘in the Spirit’ Ep6:18. Pray in the Holy Ghost Jude20, forthe Spirit maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered’ Ro8:26.

Have Faith in God- Know the Word of God

Faith is needed to please God He11:6. We must have faith in God Mk11:22. No Faith, no Rapture! Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God Ro10:17. Believe God and doubt not Mk11:23. We must increase our Faith Lk17:5. We must study the Word to be approved unto God, to be able to rightly divide the Word of truth 2Ti2:15. We must ‘live.. by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God’ Mt4:4. We must be sanctified by thy Word Jn17:17; be ‘sanctified and cleansed by the washing of the water by the Word’ Ep5:26. ‘Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee’ Ps119:11. Know Jesus, and the power of his resurrection Php 3:10, etc.

Know Your Spiritual Authority Over the Devil

Satan is the enemy of our souls Re12:12, but we can have spiritual authority over himPeter wrote ‘Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour’ 1Pe5:8. Know the weapons of our warfare2Co10:4; the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony Re12:11; the name of the Jesus Christ Mk16:17; the Word of God 1Jn2:14; even our faith 1Jn5:4; ‘ strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might Ep6:10.

Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil’ Ep6:10,11; Know your power over the enemy. Binding and loosening Mt16:19,18:18. Stand on the Word of God for ‘..greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’ 1Jn4:4. God has given us the Spirit of Power, of love, and of a sound mind 2Ti1:7. Jesus said ‘Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the Power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you’ Lk10:19.

The Rapture Is An Elective One- You Make the Choice

Finally, like accepting Jesus Christ in order to be saved, only you alone can make the decision to be taken in the Rapture by making yourself Ready as Jesus said to do so! If you love the Lord’s appearing 2Ti4:8, are looking for that BLESSED HOPE Ti2:13 and for your REDEMPTION Lk21:28; if you are watching and praying to be accounted worthy to ESCAPE the coming evil Lk21:36; want to please God Heb11:5; are led by the Spirit of God Ro8:14, seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness Mt6:33, are PURE and HOLY Mt5:8,1Pe1:16, then Jesus will return to receive you unto Himself in the Rapture to heaven Jn14:3.

Regarding the Rapture, King David wrote ‘Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart.. Ps24:3; and ‘who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart..’ Ps15:1,2. Thus, if you want to participate in the Rapture , then you alone must prepare for it for yourself. If you are not Rapture Ready, you will be Left Behind. Thus, the Rapture is an elective and selective event! Only you alone can decide by the way you live your life, and it is God who will select those worthy to be taken in the Rapture! Maranatha, the Lord Cometh 1Co16:22.

  5. I too, believe we must be rapture ready. There’s many biblical points you have made to substantiate how crucial it is in God’s eyes. Thank you.

Yet, I believe we will go through the tribulation period but not God’s wrath. These are two different issues. We will be protected during the tribulation period just as Noah was protected during the flood, Daniel from the lion’s den, his friends from the fury furnace, to name a few. They were all protected and shelled, not taken out. Our time will be no different for those who truly believe and are obedient to God. God tells us “If you love Me keep my commandments.” (Jn 14:15)

Jesus’ prayer at Gethsemane also included “I do not ask You (God the Father) to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.” (Jn 17:15) Which indicates to me we won’t be taken out but protected, kept out of harms way. Another reason for constantly praying and thanking God for everything in our lives. Hard times are coming and are starting to intensify.
We will be hated by man because of our faith in Christ (Mat.10:22). We are told to be strong (2Chron.15:7), endure till the end (Mat.24:13), to pray it’s not in winter or on the Sabbath (Mat.24:20). What would be the point (?) if we are taken out.

“But immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.” (Matt.24:29-31 and Mark 13:24) Jesus said this after He told them what would occur just prior to His return.
“AFTER these things, I look and behold a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands.” (Rev.7:9)

The gentile period is closing and God will once again look/turn towards Israel and His chosen [from the beginning who were suppose to teach the world His ways]. I believe the two witnesses will come from this region. God’s last pitch for the human race. The Gentiles had there turn now its back to the Jewish community to return to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We will not be here when God’s wrath is poured upon the planet, cleansing it from evil. The rapture is our escape from God’s fury on an unbelieving world.

God is ultimately in control. Only time will tell, being prepared is critical, as the hour is getting late and we donot know the time nor hour He will be coming. We are to stay sober and watchful, ready and informed of world events and God’s truth. As you have stated so eloquently. The peace of the Holy Spirit within ourselves and fellowman, always looking up.
May “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, Amen.” (1Thes. 5:28)

  6. Hi SweetJava

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I also agree with you that believers will go through a part of the Great Tribulation. The book of Daniel gives some clues when the Rapture ‘may’ take place. Da12:12 states ‘Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days’. So from the start of the 7 year covenant period of 2520 days Da9:27, 1335 days into that period, a significant blessing would occur. This could be the Rapture.

Also like you well said, we will not experience the Wrath of God. The apostle Paul wrote ‘For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do’ 1Th5:9-11. These verses are nearly parallel with 1Th4:16-18 when Paul described the Rapture & concluded ‘Wherefore comfort one another with these words’ v18.

Thank you very much again for your very august comments!

  7. And thank you, Drgold.
I agree with you, could be the rapture or the final seal on our foreheads and hand (our thoughts and our work).

I’ve been reading your entire series of ‘The Sonship Message(s)’, among other thought provoking, well said posts. Our Good Lord has blessed you Sir, with insight and deep understanding. Thank you, for sharing. And Praise be to God!

Please forgive my long winded comments, I tend to get carried away, with them. But only to show where I’m coming from and if I’m on the right track myself. (I’m a work in progress, as we all are.) I do enjoy a good spirited conversation, makes me look deeper into the Word. And with prayer, the Good Lord is forever carrying me forward to a richer understanding. As He has apparently given you. Cheers! to forever learning of Him and from Him. How awesome is our God that we are called His children!

May He continue to enlighten you further, and us all as we continue our journey home… In Jesus’ Holy name, Amen.

  8. Hi SweetJava

I appreciate your cogent comments and your love for the Word of God. Sadly, not many understand or are interested in the Sonship Message, and therefore will not attain to Sonship.

I believe when the apostle Paul said ‘According to the eternal purpose which (God) purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord… And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God’ Ep3:11&19, he was referring to us to be like Jesus Christ. This is God’s eternal purpose in Christ- for God to have more sons and daughters like Jesus Christ.

To be like Jesus Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit in us. 2Co3:18 states ‘But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord’; ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’ Ro8:14.

My email is Please do write & we can further our conversation. God bless you greatly!
